The FPT 35th Anniversary Virtual Run - "Footprints of Happiness" - had nearly 191,000 runners from five continents participating, collectively covering a distance of approximately 3.6 million kilometers.
Among over 50 races organized on the vRace platform, it was the first to achieve such remarkable figures. Runners came from 63 localities in Vietnam, as well as several countries, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Germany, Slovakia, the United States, Morocco, Turkey, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Australia, which had the second-largest number of runners after Vietnam.
In order to achieve this result, FPT's subsidiaries have proactively organized their events over a span of six months. FPT Telecom led in total distance, with its employees completing 711,659 kilometers. They were among the most active in FPT Corporation and had initiated running activities early on. Since 2018, they had undertaken a relay run from Lang Son to Ca Mau.

Ms. Pham Thuy Hang was one of the first employees to register for the event on March 3 when it was launched. She completed all three stages of the race and inspired nearly 50 friends, family members, and customers. "After each run, I usually shared the results and achievements on my social account. It engaged everyone to join. The number of participants increased as they learned that FPT contributed 1,000 VND to the Hope Foundation for each kilometer," Ms. Hang said.
And she's definitely not the one who does that throughout the FPT 35th Anniversary Virtual Run - "Footprints of Happiness." Each employee averagely encourages at least three friends or family members to join. Over six months and three stages, the runners completed a total of 3.6 million kilometers, equivalent to 92 laps around the Earth. Remarkably, the system recorded registrations from 135 regions and territories across five continents.
"Running helps bridge the gap between leadership and employees. We can share many aspects of life," said Mr. Chu Hung Thang, Deputy CEO of FPT Telecom, at the award ceremony for stages 1 and 2, which took place in July.
In-person events were held in all parts of the country
Initially, the organizers aimed to reach 3.5 million kilometers. FPT donated 1,000 VND to the Hope Foundation for each kilometer completed by a runner to build educational facilities for children in remote areas. By the end of the race, over 3.6 billion VND had been raised for charitable activities. "When setting the target of 3.5 million kilometers, we felt quite pressured. However, with the close cooperation of all employees, customers, family members, and friends, after just the first two stages, it became much more confident that we could exceed the target by the end of the third stage," said an organizer.
Through the virtual race, FPT aims to spread compassion, pride, good health, unity, and the mission of bringing a happy life and making an impact on the community.
