Announcement on former FPT Software employee positive for Covid-19 in Korea

The former employee, who entered Korea and had a positive test result for COVID-19, used to work at 17 Duy Tan, Cau Giay, Hanoi. August 13th was his last day on the job.

FPT Software (a member company of FPT) would like to have the announcement on a former employee who tests positive for SARS-CoV-2 in Korea on August 25th. Accordingly, the former employee, who entered Korea and had a positive test result for COVID-19, used to work at 17 Duy Tan, Cau Giay, Hanoi. August 13th was his last day on the job.

Right after getting the announcement, on August 26th, the Company sprayed disinfectant at the workplace, making a list of 43 people in into close contact with the patient for isolation. After 14 days from the day they were last in contact with him, these 43 employees do not have symptoms like fever, cough and shortness of breath. Currently 37/43 people have had RT-PCR negative results.

The workplace was cleaned and disinfected.

In the context of COVID-19 pandemic, since March 2020, FPT has implemented a WFH plan to reduce risks for its employees, customers, partners and ensure business continuity. Currently, more than 50% of FPT employees are working from home, while 74% of employees at 17 Duy Tan are working remotely. All transactions and projects of the Company are still operating normally.

The employees wear face masks and keep social distancing at work.

Since the early days of Covid-19, the Company has proactively and seriously implemented disease prevention and control plans such as: measuring temperature, asking people to wear masks, disinfecting their hands; disinfecting the workplace periodically, implementing WFH plan, having online meetings; keeping minimum distance and avoiding gatherings. The Company has prepared many scenarios to respond to Covid-19 to ensure employees' safety as well as keep doing business in all cases.
