Autumn Online Shopping Day officially runs at Sendo

Autumn Online Shopping Day took place on August 28 with more than 50,000 products which were updated and sorted by industry group on www.OnlineFriday.vn. Sendo.vn of FPT also participated in the program.

On Autumn Online Shopping Day, there were updated electronics and fashion products. By accessing the website and choosing the products they preferred, consumers could buy goods at favorable costs offered by Vietnam's leading e-commerce enterprises. All of the products ordered on August 28 would be delivered to the home with at least 50% discount for transport charges.

Sendo.vn is the 2nd largest ecommerce marketplace in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the Vietnam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the online shopping day aimed to provide an opportunity for consumers to get qualified products at preferential prices and for Vietnam enterprises to introduce, promote their products to consumers, forming a shopping habit via e-commerce channels.

The first online shopping day on May 12, 2014 attracted more than 10 million page views, grossing a turnover of USD7.5 million. The Ministry of Industry and Trade forecasted the Autumn Online Shopping Day 2015 would attract 2,500 businesses with about 15,000 registrations and a total transaction turnover of USD25 million (over VND500 billion). The movement was part of the plan for Vietnam Online Shopping Day on December 4th, 2015.

Recently, on July 29, Sendo.vn officially launched its mobile shopping app titled Sendo App, marking a new stone of the leading ecommerce marketplace in Vietnam.
