Ha Noi, October 9, 2025 — In the afternoon, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính chaired a national conference in Hà Nội to meet outstanding entrepreneurs and business representatives in celebration of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13).
Also in attendance were Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hòa Bình, Deputy Prime Minister Hồ Đức Phớc, leaders of ministries, agencies, and organizations, along with 270 prominent delegates representing corporations, conglomerates, business associations, and enterprises nationwide.
At the event, Mr. Trương Gia Bình, Chairman of FPT Corporation, called on the business community to unite in propelling the nation forward.
“Today is a very special day — a ‘birthday,’ but one that celebrates work, dedication, and the aspiration of Vietnam. The first question I would like to raise is: which birthday is this for the Vietnamese business community? If counted accurately, this is our 80th birthday, since President Hồ Chí Minh sent his congratulatory letter to the Vietnamese business circle on October 13, 1945,” said Mr. Bình.
Also at the event, Mr. Bình delivered his inspiring message of “Six Requests,” consisting of three words of gratitude and three promises.
My first gratitude goes to the Prime Minister and the Government for their tireless dedication, day and night, to the development of the country and the business community.
My second gratitude goes to the Party, the Prime Minister, and the Government for creating an excellent business environment that enables enterprises to grow. “Today, as we sit in this hall, we are the fortunate ones. We may have worked hard and achieved some success, but none of this would have been possible without the renewal, companionship, and support of the Party and the Government.”
My third gratitude goes to the Party and the Government for Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, which recognizes the role of private enterprises and creates favorable conditions for entrepreneurs to thrive in the future.
We also have promised.
First, for our nation to develop, we cannot move forward in isolation. Large corporations must take the lead and support small and medium-sized enterprises. Together, we will work diligently to achieve double-digit growth — not just 10%, but 20%, 25%, even 30%. Only then can our nation truly take off. I promise to work even harder.
Second, our country cannot become prosperous if we merely work for others or rely on foreign technology. President Hồ Chí Minh once reminded us, “Do not depend on others.” We must master technology ourselves. I promise to study diligently and strive for technological self-reliance.
Third, a nation is truly strong only when its products and services earn the trust of the world. Globalization is the shared responsibility of all enterprises — both large and small. I promise to join the Prime Minister and the Government in “conquering the sky, reaching out to the vast seas, and delving deep into the earth.”
