2022 AI Hackathon Organized by FPT Software Attracts An Array of Smart Models

Starting on August 22, Quy Nhon AI Hackathon 2022 is organized by the Quy Nhon Center for Research and Application of Artificial Intelligence (QAI - FPT Software, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) with the participation of more than 200 teams for the prizes of VND 250 million. 

The competition aims at programmers with prizes of up to VND 250 million. 

The competition aims at programmers aged 18-35 with interests and expertise in the field of AI. After the registration period, the qualifying period lasted from August 22 to August 30. Teams can choose to solve one of two issues: Smart Menu (software designed for getting the names and prices of dishes on the menu and then switching the language to English) and Comment Analysis (a system designed for automatically analyzing the tourists' reviews with a scale of satisfaction from one to five).

Mr. Vu Tu Cuong - Technologist at QAI, a Jury member- appreciated the exams' quality. The data provided by the organizing team has lots of jamming points, but some groups have produced positive model results in a brief period.

The six exams with the highest scores in these two challenges will compete in the final round on September 10 in Quy Nhon. In the final round, players must design an automatic system that helps propose travel itineraries for companies. Itineraries should be based on each team member's time, location, and destination priorities.

The final contestants have the opportunity to directly pay a visit to the Quy Nhon Center for Research and Application of Artificial Intelligence (QAI - FPT Software), which gives the programmers better perspectives for future work.

"The competitors will meet up with experts in charge of designing AI software directly in FPT. In addition, it is expected that they would enjoy their time with FPT's leaders on Vietnam's direction for high-tech industries to get more knowledge, " said Mr.Cuong.
Cash prizes of the competition include: a first prize of VND 150 million, a second prize of VND 70 million, and a third prize of VND 30 million. In addition, award-winning virtual assistant applications will be sponsored to develop and put into use, enhancing local travel experiences.

"Quy Nhon AI Hackathon 2022" is organized by QAI (FPT Software) under the media and professional sponsorship of AI4VN. AI4VN is the largest AI festival in Vietnam, organized annually by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Aus4Innovation, collaborating with VnExpress as a companion in media and event coordination.
