Da Nang's Concentrated IT Park opens Zone 3, accommodating 10,000 employees

On January 2, FPT officially launched the third Zone of its office complex (FPT Complex) in Da Nang. This expansion provides a state-of-the-art working environment for 10,000 employees in the IT services sector for international markets. The new facility is expected to play a significant role in positioning Da Nang as a leading technology hub, fostering connectivity with countries across the region and the world.

FPT Complex is one of three IT parks in Da Nang that has been officially recognized by the government and serves as a key hub for FPT's pool of high-quality IT engineers.

Currently employing 8,000 IT professionals, the complex contributes 69% of Da Nang's total software export turnover. In 2024, FPT is projected to contribute 326.6 billion VND to Da Nang's state budget, including personal income tax.

Spanning a total area of 5.9 hectares, the FPT Complex is designed to meet modern architectural standards. It is among the first three projects in Vietnam built to the 2013 energy-efficient standards of the Ministry of Construction. Utilizing environmentally friendly materials produced with advanced technology, the project achieves significant savings, reducing energy, water, and material consumption by at least 20%.

During his visit to the FPT Complex on the morning of January 2, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang, remarked: "The FPT Complex ecosystem is a symbol of the strong development and close partnership between FPT Corporation and Da Nang City. FPT in Da Nang has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, achieving significant milestones and contributing greatly to the city's progress. I firmly believe that with the determination and efforts of FPT's leadership and employees, alongside the support of Da Nang City, FPT will continue to achieve even greater success in 2025."

The year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of FPT's presence in Da Nang, a milestone year when FPT and many international clients will celebrate the completion of the FPT Complex circle.

Notably, 80% of these clients are major corporations from Korea and Japan. On behalf of the Board of Management and over 80,000 FPT employees, I extend my deepest gratitude to the city government for their continuous support, collaboration, and facilitation, enabling the swift realization of this project. We hope Da Nang will continue to support FPT in expanding this IT park, further investing, and contributing to the growth of the city's digital economy."

According to Da Nang City's Planning for the 2021–2030 period with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, the city is set to become one of Vietnam's leading hubs for high-tech and supporting industries. In 2023, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a development plan for the IT industry by 2030, targeting the digital economy to account for at least 30% of the city's GRDP. The plan also aims to support at least 8,950 enterprises and 115,000 employees in the IT sector. Microchip production is specifically identified as a key area of focus for development.

Over the past two decades, FPT has evolved into a strategic partner, driving Da Nang's development by staying ahead of technology trends and contributing significantly to the city's growth strategy. Beyond its core IT services for global markets, FPT has made impactful contributions across various sectors, bolstering Da Nang's progress and prosperity. In education, FPT has trained nearly 18,000 students for the city. In the healthcare sector, FPT has been instrumental in modernizing management systems and enhancing the quality of medical examinations and treatments at facilities such as the Oncology Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, and district-level medical centers. Leveraging its innovative solutions, particularly FPT.eHospital, the company has digitized the entire operational process, encompassing patient admission, diagnosis, treatment, payment, and financial management. This comprehensive system now facilitates an average of 10,000 medical consultations and treatments daily, significantly reducing patient wait times and bolstering the operational efficiency of healthcare institutions. In social welfare, the Hope School (established by FPT Corporation and the Hope Foundation) welcomed over 100 children orphaned by COVID-19 in the 2024–2025 academic year, raising the total to more than 300. These students have achieved commendable milestones, including three robotics awards, 12 city-level Excellent Student awards, and eight national Vovinam medals. The school's facilities continue to be developed and upgraded. In public health, FPT Corporation, in collaboration with FPT Long Chau Vaccination, donated 10,000 vaccine doses in September 2024. The recipients included children from the Hope School, women, and children in Da Nang. This initiative strengthens preventive healthcare efforts and contributes to the community's well-being.

Looking ahead, FPT Corporation aims to collaborate with Da Nang City in human resource planning and the development of high-quality talent for the semiconductor industry, aspiring to transform the city into Vietnam’s “Silicon Valley.” FPT is committed to building a workforce of 10,000 semiconductor professionals by 2030. By 2024, FPT has around 200 design engineers collaborating with approximately 30 clients across Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam. In the realm of education and training, FPT has enrolled 1,500 students in semiconductor programs at university, college, and international certification levels in 2024, laying a critical foundation for nurturing future talent in this industry.

In addition to its commitment to advancing the semiconductor industry, FPT is actively investing in and fostering partnerships to drive development in four other critical technology areas: artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, digital transformation, and green transformation, achieving numerous breakthrough results.

Through comprehensive collaboration, FPT has significantly contributed to driving transformative progress across sectors such as transportation, administrative management, and industry and trade. These efforts have positioned Da Nang as one of Vietnam's leading models for innovation and growth.
