Son Lam – the champion dancer of the 2024 US dance competition "Dance Your Style" – will be one of the three judges presiding over FPTU Showcase 2025.

FPTU Showcase 2025 is a national dance competition hosted by FPT University (FPT Corporation) exclusively tailored for high school students. This year's contest boasts a star-studded panel of judges, including Son Lam, Chec, and Quoc Tit — all renowned dancers who've carved out impressive achievements in both domestic and international arenas. They will take on the role of judges, weighing in on contestants' performances to pick out the finest individuals and teams.

Judge Son Lam rose to fame as the Champion of the 2024 American “Dance Your Style” competition. He has also bagged numerous titles in other top-tier dance contests, such as Dance Challenge 2014 (Vietnam), Rise Up Popping Edition 2022 (USA), and Rated F For Freestyle 2022 (USA). Most recently, Son Lam stepped up as a judge for the Dance Battle segment on the show "Anh trai Say Hi" in Vietnam. As one of the three head judges of FPTU Showcase 2025, Son Lam is expected to bring sharp, professional insights and fresh takes from his wealth of experience on international stages.

Besides, this year’s panel will feature dancer Chéc (Gia Linh) and "Hip-hop Prince" Quoc Tit. Chéc is a gifted dancer known for her distinctive choreography and magnetic stage presence. Her list of achievements includes: Champion of Dance Battle Stage season 2, Champion of Street Dance Queen 2024, and a Semi-finalist in Asia's Got Talent 2019.

Meanwhile, Quoc Tit has also made a name for himself in the dance world and is adored by countless young fans. He’s clinched top honors at several competitions, including BadVibes Battle Vol.2 and NHIET 3 Hiphop 1vs1. On top of that, Quoc Tit is the creative force behind a slew of hit music videos, such as Hop On Da Show (LowG ft. TLinh), Cang Cua (LowG), and Cham Em Mot Doi (Duc Phuc).

With three seasoned and passionate judges on board, this year’s competition is set to be a showstopper — a place where young talents can let loose, showcase their creativity, and own the stage. Centering on the theme "Back to the old school," FPTU Showcase 2025 will transport contestants back to Hip-hop’s golden era, bridging the gap between Gen Z and Gen X and giving everyone a fresh look at this classic “old school” vibe.

After three smashing seasons that drew thousands of contestants, this year’s competition comes with exciting twists designed to fuel creativity and open up more chances for dancers to shine. The contest will run in two formats: Showcase (team competition) and 1v1 Battle (individual competition), and dancers can sign up for both.

Registrations for the Showcase format (team competition) will stay open until March 15. Each high school is allowed to send between one and two teams, with each team comprising 5 to 20 members — and no member can compete on more than one team. Dance crews will submit online entries with freestyle performances. The top 14 performances handpicked by the organizers and one "fan favorite" based on the highest votes will advance to the live final round held on April 27 in Hanoi.

Prizes for the Showcase format include: First Prize worth 30 million VND; Second Prize worth 20 million VND; Third Prize worth 10 million VND; two Consolation Prizes of 5 million VND each; a "Most Favorite Dance Group" Prize of 5 million VND, and several Special Prizes for outstanding teams.

The organizers have also launched the 1v1 Battle format (individual competition) to amp up the excitement. Dancers can register for this format between April 1 and April 12. The final round for this format will take place on April 20, also in Hanoi. The winner will claim the champion title for the single battle format and walk away with a prize of 5 million VND.
