Dat Bike and FPT IS Unveil The First SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Project for An Electric Vehicle Manufacturer

Dat Bike, a Vietnamese electric Motorcycle Manufacturer, and FPT IS have officially launched a business management project utilizing the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution. This initiative is designed to enhance Dat Bike's management operations, expedite its growth, support its mission of promoting eco-friendly transportation, and solidify its position as a leading Vietnamese electric motorbike manufacturer in Southeast Asia. This project, implemented by FPT IS, marks a significant milestone as the first application of the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution in the electric motorbike manufacturing and trading sector in Vietnam.

Established in 2019, Dat Bike specializes in manufacturing electric motorbikes with the aim of transitioning the motorcycle market from gasoline-powered to electric-powered. The company aspires to lead the Vietnamese electric motorbike sector, leading the regional push for the "green" manufacturing of the two-wheeled vehicle market valued at 8 billion USD domestically and 25 billion USD in Southeast Asia. Following the launch of the Quantum scooter product line in late 2023, Dat Bike saw a tenfold increase in monthly sales. This surge reflects the broader trend in Vietnam's two-wheeled electric vehicle industry, which is growing steadily at over 30% annually. Dat Bike requires a robust business management technology platform to support this rapid growth and expand its market presence.

Representatives of FPT IS and Dat Bike signed the agreement for the deployment of the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud project.

With a strategic vision for business and technology and guided by the expertise of FPT IS, Dat Bike's leadership team decided to invest in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution. This decision enables Dat Bike to adopt a global standard management platform optimized through cloud technology. The project, agreed upon by both parties, will be implemented in three months. Given Dat Bike's comprehensive operations from production to distribution and sales, yet with a small staff size, this digital transformation marks a significant milestone. The implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud facilitates an impressive "transformation," allowing Dat Bike to maintain a lean workforce while ensuring efficient operations and management.

FPT IS is expected to deploy solutions for Dat Bike across multiple systems, encompassing production, distribution, and sales on an enterprise-wide scale within Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The implementation will cover the following modules: Sales, Sourcing and Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Integration to eInvoice System, and Quality Management.

By applying SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, Dat Bike will benefit from real-time report updates and the ability to generate financial reports that comply with Vietnamese and international accounting standards.
