Deputy Minister of MEXT suggests FPT to expand training to health sector
On 18th July, the delegation of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan led by the Deputy Minister Tsutomu Tomioka had a meeting with the leaders of FPT Corporation as part of the official visit to Vietnam.

On 18th July, the delegation of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan led by the Deputy Minister Tsutomu Tomioka had a meeting with the leaders of FPT Corporation as part of the official visit to Vietnam.
In discussion with FPT’s leaders, Dr. Tsutomu Tomioka espoused his belief in the training quality of the organization. According to Mr. Minister, the increasing number of employment opportunities in the sector of healthcare and nursing in Japan is a great opportunity for Vietnamese educational institutions. Especially, the favorable condition will be simulated to the healthcare human resources educated by FPT.

Mr. Minister also mentioned that FPT University is an academic institution with the training advantages in the field of ICT. Along with the adequate facilities and technical competence, healthcare sector seemed to be a potential sector for the institution.
At the mention of expanding the training to the health sector, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc, FPT CEO insisted that FPT would seriously consider this orientation. In response, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan pledged to support FPT if this plan will be implemented: “MEXT is ready to support FPT in healthcare training. For my part, I am committed to support Vietnam because I’m in love with this country.”

It is the second year the Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) program to be deployed. There have been 10,000 bridge system engineers to be trained and work for Japanese firms in the period of 2015-2020. FPT has about 700 people directly working in Japan and approximately 5,000 employees serving this market. This Vietnamese company has the most employees working in Japan. In the education system, all FPT’s IT students are studying Japanese. This is evidence showing a strong relationship between FPT with Japan.
