Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso support FPT’s development in Japan

Mr. Taro Aso, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan, agreed with the proposal of FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh about 10,000 BrSE program and Outsourcing as well as appointed a person in charge of following cooperation with FPT.

On May 20, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, FPT Software Chairman Hoang Nam Tien and Director of FPT Japan Tran Xuan Khoi had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso.

Chairman Truong Gia Binh expressef his appreciation to Japanese Government’s investment decision in Hoa Lac High Tech park (Hanoi) approved by Mr. Aso and reported some initial achievements in this high-tech park, especially the development of FPT University and FPT software village (F-ville).

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan Taro Aso was impressed with FPT’s achievements.

Deputy Prime Minister Aso said that he was very interested in FPT as a food- processing company changing its goals to IT Company with its good growth in turnover, profits and personnel. He was also very impressed with FPT’s achievements and hoped that the Corp will continuously develop in the future.

Chairman Truong Gia Binh also proposed to get the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso for t 10,000 BrSE (bridge system engineers) program FPT is implementing and develop Outsourcing cooperation with Japan.

Mr. Aso agreed to FPT Chairman’s proposal and appointed a person in charge of following the cooperation with FPT.

According to Director of FPT Japan Tran Xuan Khoi, the representative of Japanese government paying attention to a business’s operation in this country says a lot of things. It means the Japanese government attaches special importance to developing ties with Vietnam; FPT has a certain position in Japan and gets the attention of not only businesses but also the government. Mr. Khoi affirmed that this was a great opportunity for FPT’s further development in this sun-rising land.

Besides the high-level meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso, Mr. Binh had meetings with many large clients of FPT to discuss how to strengthen the traditional business channels and the new ones such as SMAC and environment. Here, the Chairman also introduced 10,000BrSE program.


Training 10.000 BrSE in the period of 2014-2018 is one of the two programs publicized in Japan in November, 2014 by FPT. The aim is to help FPT in particular and IT companies of Vietnam in general have s enough capacity to receive IT Outsourcing from Japan, and Japanese companies have more young IT engineers.

This program is built on a basis of the previous success of the training programs deployed by FPT Software for years. It is estimated that there will probably be about 5.000 engineers joining an abroad training course in Japan while the other 5000 will be trained in Vietnam in the undergraduate program by FPT University and the BrE program by FPT Software.
