For the first time, IBM, Amazon and DuPont discuss AI with tech community

FPT TechDay took place on June 6th at the Grand Plaza Hotel, Hanoi, with more than 700 participants. This is the first time that TechDay has the participation of senior leaders and technology experts of three giants including the DuPont, Amazon and IBM. This year’s program concentrates on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Defined as a branch of computer science, Artificial Intelligence (AI) can think and learn as humans with the ability to process data at the higher scale level, more scientific and faster. According to the Research of Tractica (USA), with superior data analysis capabilities, revenue from AI-based applications will reach USD59.7 billion by 2025.

Mr. Le Hong Viet, FPT Corporation’s CTO emphasized: “FPT Tech Day 2017 aims to assist Vietnam's tech community in updating the latest AI trends of the world's leading companies. FPT is also willing to share data and other research result on the field of AI for the tech community to use and develop applications. We expect that in the future, Vietnam's AI products will be available only in Vietnam but also around the world”.

Information Director of DuPont Group Phuong Tram shared about the AI Trend and the story from DuPont.

The representative from IBM Waston talked about Watson. Watson is a question answering computer system capable of answering questions posed in natural language. Industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare etc. can all benefit.

Chief of Architect in Asean area of Amazon Web Services Shaun Ray presented “AI for every one”. Recently, AWS offered AI products and services such as Alexa, AmazonGo, Rekognition, Polly, etc.

Beside the stories regarding the application of AI technology, FPT and some technology companies also revealed the latest research and results in the field of AI. On this occasion, corporation announced FPT.AI, an AI technology platform for programmers to create interactive interfaces through natural languages to the community.

FPT TechDay is a part of f.transform () – a series of events for the technology community organized by FPT. Earlier, the final round of Vietnam AI Hackathon – a competition on developing applications using AI Technology and the signing ceremony of the cooperation to develop high quality human resources between FPT Corporation and Vietnam University of Engineering and Technology were organized.
