FPT aims at 10,000 software engineers in Da Nang

Mr. Truong Quang Nghia - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee, Mr Huynh Duc Tho - Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung - Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council besides many representatives from Da Nang departments visited FPT University and FPT Software at FPT Complex on June 28.

Da Nang is currently one of the three most important HR centers of FPT with more than 3,000 software engineers, accounting for 20% of the employees serving software export. In education sector, FPT has a full range of education systems with more than 3,600 students in Danang. It is also the first place where FPT gradually realizes the dream of a technology city.

According to Truong Quang Nghia, the demand for human resources in Da Nang is pressing. That FPT focuses on investment in software export and high quality HR training is in line with the development orientation of Da Nang. Currently, Danang is speeding up the development of software parks. It is expected that FPT will continue to accompany the city in training high quality human resources, quickly sharing its experiences and making IT system deployment proposals in the fields of transportation and healthcare etc. to make Danang a smart city.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of FPT Bui Quang Ngoc stated: "The 4th industrial revolution is taking place globally, the demand for digital human resources is becoming increasingly pressing. This is also an opportunity for Vietnam to become a digital HR center. With more than 20 years of experience in software export and training, FPT has launched a complex of university and software park in a city with young human resources like Da Nang for knowledge dissemination and technology transfer. FPT pledged to invest more strongly in Da Nang with two key points: expanding software centers and promoting training.  In addition, with more than 30 years of experience in bringing technology into national modernization and offering smart services to organizations, FPT will accompany Da Nang to a smart city".

Within the next 3-5 years, FPT expects to invest about VND 2,600 billion in building facilities. It is expected that by 2023, the number of FPT's software engineers in Da Nang will reach 10,000 people. Besides, FPT targets 10,000 students by 2021.

In the period of 2019-2021, FPT continues to invest nearly VND 1,200 billion in FPT City's infrastructure.
