FPT and Mitsubishi - Japan’s leading economic corporation sign strategic agreement
On August 12th, 2008, the two leading economic groups of Vietnam and Japan, FPT and Mitsubishi, signed a cooperation agreement in Hanoi. The two sides pledged strategic partnership, to seek cooperation opportunities in Vietnam as well as other countries.

Mr. Yorihiko Kojima, Chairman of Mitsubishi’s Management Board said Japan strongly believed in and highly appreciated FPT’s leadership, strength and experiences in Vietnamese market, in terms of IT, telecommunications, communications, retail, education and finance. Mitsubishi hoped that the cooperation would pave the way for more joint projects in the future.
Mitsubishi Corporation currently operates in over 80 countries, has over 500 member companies and about 60.000 employees. Its operation areas include industries such as energy, mechanics, engineering, chemical goods, foodstuff… and trading in general.
FPT is a multi-national company with over 9.000 employees. It will celebrate its 20th anniversary in September.
