FPT and Vietnam Airlines signed strategic cooperation agreement

Hanoi, May 25^th, 2017 – Today, FPT and Vietnam Airlines signed a strategic cooperation agreement within three years (2017 – 2020).

Accordingly, FPT will provide Vietnam Airlines with its best IT products, services and solutions meeting Vietnam Airlines’ requirements such as mobile devices, website development, e-commerce, cloud computing, security, big data, hosting/data center, international and domestic transmission, internet service, ERP, etc.

With 4-star service quality, Vietnam Airlines will provide FPT with a wide variety of convenient air transport services (passengers, luggage, cargo) and other services as required by FPT. Vietnam Airlines will also apply major customer policies for FPT.                                                                     

Under the agreement, FPT and Vietnam Airlines will cooperate in R&D of IT products and services in the field of aviation on the basis of cost sharing for capital investment, revenue, licensing, etc.

Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc, FPT’s CEO said: "FPT and Vietnam Airlines have had a time-honoured and strong partnership since the 1990s and have achieved positive results during the cooperation process. In the next period of cooperation, FPT commits to continue investing resources, focusing on research solutions and services to efficiently meet the requirement of quality and schedule which would help Vietnam Airlines reach further".

Previously, in 2013, FPT and Vietnam Airlines signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on providing their best services to each other within three years, which led to positive results.

With experience in deploying large-scale IT solutions and infrastructure for almost Vietnam’s backbone industries and providing digital transformation services to large corporations globally, FPT always focus on invest in developing resource and R&D of new technologies-based IT solutions and services. Currently, FPT has more than 28,000 employees, of which there are over 12,000 IT developers, engineers and specialists.
