FPT CEO shares solutions to adapt to the new normalcy

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa will share solutions to overcome the crisis caused by COVID-19 at the seminar on adapting to the new normalcy within the framework of the Business Forum 2020 under the theme of “Weathering the Turbulence” by Forbes Vietnam on October 15^th.

This is one of the three main panel discussions of the Business Forum 2020 under the theme of “Weathering the Turbulence” which will gather government officials, top business leaders, leading scholars and economic experts to share their perspectives and discuss the challenges and solutions to better the business performance in the new unstable economic environment.

The event includes 3 sessions with topics "Adapting to the new normalcy", 'Accelerating towards a contactless economy" and "Opportunities from the fourth wave".

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, the representative of the IT enterprises and leaders of leading enterprises in the fields such as textiles, seafood, timber and banking will share practical experiences and solutions to respond to the crisis caused by Covid-19 at the first discussion panel discussion “Adapting to the new normalcy”, in order to help the business community, solve difficulties, make breakthroughs and contribute to the economic recovery.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa has held the position of FPT CEO since March 2019. He has a deep understanding in business and technology with B2B and B2C clients. As one of FPT's young and key leaders, he has held important positions such as FPT's Deputy General Director, FPT Telecom CEO, and FPT IS CEO. He is also a member of Vietnam Internet Association, Vietnam Software and IT Services Association, Pacific Cable Television Association.

The Covid-19 epidemic is a new war on a global scale putting 35% of global businesses at risk of bankruptcy. However, identifying the risk, FPT immediately activated the “wartime” mode and prepared different business scenarios for the epidemic progress. Each FPTer is a soldier, each unit is a fortress that operates strongly on three fronts: fighting the epidemics, ensuring business activities and seek new business opportunities at home and abroad.

On the anti-epidemic front, making the safety of employees the first priority, FPT quickly deployed working from home models, focusing on selling, promoting interaction and reaching customers through online channels; enhancing the search for new business opportunities, ensuring uninterrupted production. As a result, by the end of August 2020, the revenue and profit of the Corp grew by 7.6% and 11.7%, respectively.

FPT, has recently been named Silver winner of the COVID-19 Most Valuable Corporate Response category, a part of the 17^th Annual International Business Awards®. FPT is the only Vietnamese enterprise to be honored in this category.
