FPT Chairman attends Mekong Summit together with Prime Minister

Mr. Truong Gia Binh accompanying Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Vietnam delegation on the visit to Japan to join the 7th Mekong Summit from Jul 2 to 4 in Tokyo, at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The conference will review the Mekong-Japan cooperation, particularly the implementation of the Mekong-Japan cooperation program in the period 2013-2015. As scheduled, the Tokyo Strategy 2015 and large measures for Mekong-Japan cooperation in the 2016-2018 period will be approved.
The 7th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting is held in the context that the Mekong-Japan cooperation has gained many remarkable results, especially in realizing the Tokyo Strategy 2012.
Viet Nam’s participation at the 7th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting aims to promote the socio-economic development of the Greater Mekong Sub-region in general and of Viet Nam in particular. The nation affirms its commitments and role in the Mekong-Japan cooperation, consolidates the relationship with other nations in the Greater Mekong Sub-region and strengthens the extensive Strategic Partnership relationship with Japan more effectively.
Also in the framework of the trip, Mr. Binh will have a meeting with Fujitsu in order to discuss IT application for Vietnam’s agriculture. At the same time, he will also attend the BrSE opening ceremony of the 2nd course in Tokyo to take place on Jul 3.
The 7th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting is held in the context that the Mekong-Japan cooperation has gained many remarkable results, especially in realizing the Tokyo Strategy 2012.
Earlier, Viet Nam successfully organized the second Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting in Ha Noi in October 2010. The Economic and Industrial Cooperation Initiative was ratified, focusing on hard infrastructure, commerce, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and expanding services and new industries.
