Leaders at the Israel site attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony announcing the establishment of FPT Israel.

At the event, FPT Corporation officially announced the establishment of FPT Israel, reinforcing its strategy to expand its footprint in one of the world’s leading hubs for high technology and innovation—particularly in core technology domains that align closely with Vietnam’s national strategic technology priorities and FPT’s long-term development orientation. Through FPT Israel, FPT aims to promote co-development partnerships, facilitate technology exchange, establish research and development (R&D) centers, stay at the forefront of global technology trends, and better serve international customers. The focus will be on national strategic technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and semiconductor technologies.

This move represents a concrete step underscoring FPT’s commitment to accompanying Vietnam in realizing the objectives of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, contributing to the enhancement of national science and technology capabilities, strengthening the global standing of Vietnamese enterprises, leveraging leading global innovation ecosystems, and co-creating “Make in Vietnam” products that address both domestic challenges and international market demands.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, recalled historical ties between Vietnam and Israel and shared: “Vietnam and Israel share profound similarities in their development journeys - a strong aspiration for progress and a deep belief that education and technology are the keys to national advancement. President Ho Chi Minh affirmed that Vietnam must stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s leading powers through education and knowledge. Today, that spirit continues to be realized through a development strategy driven by science and technology, as Vietnam has issued a series of important policies and directives on technology - most notably Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, together with Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg, which focuses on developing and mastering strategic technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, and semiconductor chips. It is for this reason that FPT has established FPT Israel—the startup nation—so that we may learn from its spirit of innovation, access advanced education, expand deep and wide-ranging cooperation, and jointly develop and master core technologies.”

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, stated: “FPT Israel advances the spirit of innovation between our two nations, working with Vietnam and the world to master core technologies”

To date, FPT has established a presence in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide, gradually affirming the position of Vietnamese technology enterprises on the global technology map. Recently, to demonstrate its strong commitment to investing in and mastering core technologies, FPT announced investments in five strategic technology areas: Quantum AI, Cybersecurity, UAV, Data, and Railway Technology. FPT is also the first private enterprise in Vietnam to establish a Strategic Technology Steering Committee to drive the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director General of the Department of Information Technology Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, affirmed that the Ministry, together with relevant ministries and agencies, will continue to improve institutional mechanisms and policies to enable technology enterprises such as FPT to advance the “Make in Vietnam” initiative to a higher level.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director General of the Department of Information Technology Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, noted: “The ‘Make in Vietnam’ orientation for the 2026–2030 period emphasizes the spirit of ‘Designed in Vietnam, Made in Vietnam – to lead.’ ‘Leading’ does not mean striving to be number one at all costs, but rather leading in areas where Vietnam has competitive advantages, real market demand, the ability to differentiate, and the potential to create sustainable value. For a nation to develop rapidly and sustainably in the digital era, it must have strong technology enterprises that master core technologies and platforms and possess international competitiveness. FPT is one of the Vietnamese enterprises that has pioneered and opened pathways to overseas markets, and the establishment of FPT Israel marks the next step in its determination to reach new technological heights.

The Ministry of Science and Technology encourages FPT Israel to place innovation at the core of its strategy, promote R&D cooperation, expand markets through quality, credibility, compliance with international standards, and adherence to technology ethics, thereby contributing tangible technology and innovation value back to Vietnam. The Ministry of Science and Technology, together with relevant ministries and agencies, will continue to refine and improve policies and mechanisms to enable technology enterprises such as FPT to elevate the ‘Make in Vietnam’ initiative to a higher level.”

H.E. Yaron Mayer, The Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, shared that Israel remains open and warmly welcomes partners from Vietnam.

H.E. Mr. Yaron Mayer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Vietnam, emphasized: “This event reflects the strong entrepreneurial spirit and global aspirations of Vietnamese enterprises, while sending a clear message that Israel remains open and welcoming to partners from Vietnam who share a commitment to innovation, technology, and the creation of long-term value”.

Mr. Nguyen Ky Son, Ambassador-designate of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the State of Israel committed that the embassies of both countries will serve as a bridge and create favorable conditions for enterprises to grow and expand.

Mr. Nguyen Ky Son, Ambassador-designate of Vietnam to Israel, stated: “The Embassies of Vietnam and Israel are committed to serving as a bridge between enterprises, corporations, universities, and research institutions of both countries, fostering cooperation, facilitating connections across all sectors, and promoting joint research projects to enable the transfer and development of core technologies”.

At the event, FPT introduced a portfolio of advanced technology partners in Israel, aiming to expand its high-tech solution ecosystem across key sectors, including education (Enabley), high-tech agriculture (CropX), cybersecurity (Cyabra and CyberproAI), quantum encryption (BATM Advanced Communications Ltd), quantum computing (Classiq), semiconductors (AsicSValue), and business expansion (NAOR Group).

Israel is widely recognized as the “Startup Nation” and one of the world’s leading centers for technology and innovation. High technology accounts for a significant share of the Israeli economy, and the country ranks among the top global innovators.

Vietnam–Israel relations continue to strengthen, marked by an important milestone with the issuance of Decision No. 16/QĐ-TTg dated January 5, 2026, approving the implementation plan for the Vietnam–Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA). The plan aims to support Vietnamese enterprises in participating in production networks, value chains, and supply chains involving Israeli enterprises, enhance incentive mechanisms, and encourage stronger linkages between Israeli-invested companies and domestic enterprises, contributing to the formation and development of integrated supply chains. This serves as an important foundation and driving force for deeper trade and cooperation between enterprises of the two countries, including in the technology sector.
