In recent days, the COVID-19 has been developing complicatedly. In addition to raising awareness about preventing the spread of the disease, the top priorities of the Government and Hanoi City are to ensure the sufficient supply of personal protective equipment for healthcare teams and strengthen surveillance and separation of confirmed and suspected cases. In the coming days, Hanoi city needs to prepare more facilities to isolate 20,000 people returning from COVID-19 affected areas.

FPT high school students and parents quickly packed their furniture to make space for quarantine.

On March 21st, the Hanoi People's Committee signed Decision No.1138/QD-UBND on the establishment of the centralized quarantine location in the dormitories of FPT High school and FPT University in Hoa Lac. Forming part of the FPT University campus, the four-building complex is located in a 300,000-square metre technology park. FPT employees and students vacated dormitory rooms over the weekend to help set up the quarantine facility.

“For FPT, people are our most valuable assets and we are doing our best to help the government fight against Covid-19,” said FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, “To the best of our ability, we wish to contribute to the protection of frontline doctors, healthcare staff and the community, minimizing the spread of COVID-19, and reducing the pressure on the Government and the City. Hopefully, more hands will join the fight so that we could get through these challenges”.

It has become a good tradition for FPT to do 'For the community' activities for many years. FPT always strives to make contributions with its technological strengths as well as CSR activities. Since the beginning of February, when the epidemic broke out, FPT collaborated with the Information Technology Department under the Ministry of Health to launch a chatbot providing information on Covid-19 at https://ncov.ehealth.gov.vn/. In addition, the Company has also granted free access to its AI-powered online learning platform VioEdu, allowing local students of all levels to educate themselves during school closures. So far, students from 15,000 schools in 63/63 provinces and cities have registered to participate in the system. More than 90 million questions have been practiced on the system.
