FPT Corporation and Creaform – a Canadian company specializing in 3D scanning and precision measurement technology – have recently announced a collaboration in the field of culture and heritage preservation.

FPT joins hands with Creaform to master world-class 3D digitization technology.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 26, 2025, FPT and Creaform will cooperate to implement cultural heritage digitization projects in Vietnam, leveraging Creaform’s world-leading 3D scanning technology and FPT’s capabilities in solution development and deployment. The partnership is expected to establish a leading digital heritage platform in Vietnam, on par with standards applied in developed countries.
Globally, Creaform is recognized as one of the most reputable names in 3D scanning and non-contact measurement, with its equipment widely used in more than 85 countries. Creaform’s technology is highly regarded for its accuracy, flexibility in field operations, and suitability for artifacts with complex shapes and materials which are common challenges in cultural heritage digitization.
Through this partnership, FPT becomes the preferred partner in Vietnam for deploying and applying Creaform’s cutting-edge technologies in the field of heritage digitization. This move strengthens the “Make in Vietnam” initiative, fostering the development of world-class technology products and services created by Vietnamese experts to address practical challenges in Vietnam. Creaform’s solution enables precise digitization of every detail, material, and shape of cultural artifacts, opening up possibilities for digital restoration of tangible and intangible heritage. It also supports museums, archives, and cultural organizations in building high-accuracy digital databases. Consequently, both parties can develop immersive experiences such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and digital platforms for preservation and exhibition.
The two sides plan to jointly promote and introduce the solution to government agencies, museums, research institutes, cultural organizations, and professional communities to encourage the application of digital technology in heritage conservation.

Mr. Tran Phong Lam, representative of FPT, speaking at the event.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Phong Lam, Director of the Public Sector Division of FPT IS under FPT Corporation, shared: “Heritage digitization is a vital national mission that can now be addressed through world-class digital technologies combined with a deep understanding of cultural values. Our collaboration with Creaform reflects FPT’s strong commitment to mastering and applying core global technologies contributing to the preservation and promotion of national heritage through digital transformation, while realizing key national goals and resolutions.”
“By partnering with Creaform, we can integrate the world’s most precise 3D scanning devices into our akaVerse ecosystem, creating lifelike digital replicas with exceptional authenticity. This allows us to preserve and spread the cultural values of Vietnam in their most complete form,” said Mr. Vu Duy Thanh, Director of the akaVerse Platform, FPT Corporation.

Mr. George Tan, representative of Creaform, sharing expectations for the partnership with FPT.
Representing Creaform, Mr. George Tan, Sales Director for the Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions, expressed strong optimism about the strategic partnership: “We highly appreciate FPT’s technological capabilities, large-scale project experience, and long-term development vision. With FPT’s akaVerse digital platform, we see an open, flexible, and locally adapted foundation. Creaform believes that our partnership with FPT will serve as an extended arm to bring our high-precision 3D scanning technology closer to organizations in Vietnam, starting with heritage digitization.”
In the context of the Vietnamese Government’s Resolutions 57 and 71, cultural heritage digitization has become a national priority. Digital Twin technology, including 3D digitization, has been identified as a strategic technology under Decision No. 1131/QĐ-TTg. The partnership between FPT and Creaform carries great significance as both sides share the goal of preserving the nation’s memory with modern technology, ensuring precision and integrity.
The cooperation with Creaform also marks a new milestone in the development of FPT’s akaVerse ecosystem evolving from a technology platform into an open ecosystem that integrates advanced technologies such as AI, VR, and cloud computing. This expansion aims to address digitalization needs across multiple sectors, including heritage preservation, education, architecture, manufacturing, healthcare, and other domains within the digital economy.
