FPT Corporation Allocates Over 1,000 Billion VND for Social Responsibility Initiatives

Ho Chi Minh City, March 13, 2024, FPT Corporation kicked off "FPT Day for the Community" for the year, drawing in 3,000 participants. This event, organized annually by FPT Corporation, serves as a platform for its employees to unite, pooling their efforts toward advancing the community. It also fosters and propagates the spirit of compassion among each employee toward challenging circumstances in society.

FPT Day for the Community hosts a variety of meaningful events

Each year, FPT employees anticipate March 13 with renewed enthusiasm. This year's FPT Day for the Community commenced under the theme "Sowing a Million Smiles" at FPT Tan Thuan 2 and F-Town 3 Buildings in Thu Duc City. The event featured various activities, including humanitarian blood donation, a fundraising vaccine program by FPT Long Chau, a charity music show by FPT Software, the launch of Happy Run 2024, and initiatives encouraging one-day salary donations to the FPT People's Fund for the Community.

FPT employees and leaders enthusiastically participated in the kick-off event for Happy Run 2024, which was themed "Spread Your Wings High."

Particularly, humanitarian blood and one day's salary donations to the FPT People's Fund for the Community are longstanding programs that exemplify the spirit of "mutual solidarity" among FPT employees toward the community, gradually becoming integral to FPT's corporate culture. Since 2014, nearly 25,000 units of blood have been donated to save patients. Furthermore, FPT Corporation employees actively participated in the one-day salary contribution program, collectively donating over 80.5 billion VND to the FPT People's Fund for the Community. Established in 2014, the Fund aims to aid FPT employees and their families during times of hardship and severe illnesses while also supporting community initiatives and promoting educational advancement. The Fund operates on the principle of engaging a large number of FPT employees in these endeavors.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh, a member of the FPT Founding Council and Director of Social Responsibility of FPT Corporation, expressed her sentiments: "FPT's March 13 has evolved into a festival, emblematic of FPT's corporate culture. Over more than 35 years of development, FPT remains steadfast in its mission of building a happier future for people. For FPT, happiness transcends individual, group, or corporate success; it lies in sharing those successes and benefits with society, bringing smiles and hope to those facing adversity."

FPT Day for the Community - FPT's significant annual event

Since 2010, FPT has designated March 13 as "FPT Community Day," encouraging every employee to contribute to society through tangible actions. Over the years, the Corporation has allocated over 1,000 billion VND for social responsibility initiatives, primarily focusing on educational support programs. These include sponsoring scholarships to empower talented students, particularly those facing challenges, as well as initiatives to improve educational infrastructure, such as building bridges, repairing schools, and providing learning materials to teachers and students in underserved areas.

With steadfast dedication and unwavering enthusiasm, FPT remains committed to its mission of spreading happiness throughout the community.

FPT consistently prioritizes sustainable development initiatives with a people-centric approach. Consequently, the Corporation strongly emphasizes investing in human resource development and supporting educational endeavors for the younger generation. Noteworthy activities undertaken by FPT Corporation in 2023 included its ongoing commitment to "nurturing hope for children" - who have been orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic - at Hope School. Through this program, children received training to develop their talents across various domains and achieved numerous accolades in robotics, music, and sports competitions. Additionally, FPT organized the inaugural global-scale "Happy Run - Happy Footprints" race to foster philanthropy and raise funds for charity. The event attracted 191.000 participants and raised 3,6 billion VND, which was utilized to construct school facilities in underserved areas, ensuring continued access to education for children. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Hope Foundation, FPT embarked on the construction of 350 bridges in the Mekong Delta region, enhancing safety for children traveling to school and facilitating cross-border communication between communities. This milestone solidifies FPT Corporation and Hope Foundation's status as leading contributors to bridge construction efforts in Vietnam since 2018. Continuing to uphold and spread the spirit of love, in the near future, FPT will continue to organize volunteer programs nationwide.
