FPT Proposes Partnership in Digital Transformation and High-Quality Training with Binh Duong

On December 19, at a meeting with the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of FPT Corporation - shared his desire to become a companion of local leaders to develop high-quality workforce through an inter-level education complex and implement comprehensive digital transformation in all three pillars (digital government, digital economy, and digital society).

The meeting had the participation of Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee - together with representatives of local departments, branches, and businesses. On the other side were the presence of Mr. Truong Gia Binh - FPT's Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - FPT's CEO, and reps of FPT's subsidiaries.

Giving an opening speech, Mr. Vo Van Minh (Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee) affirmed that digital transformation and education - training must be top priorities of Binh Duong as local economic structure focused on industrial production. Therefore, provincial authorities highly appreciated FPT's efforts and expected that related parties could accelerate the partnership to achieve practical results soon. In particular, both sides should discuss a specific roadmap and core areas for implementation, which were suitable to the local practices.

Binh Duong had an exceptionally high demand for high-skilled employees, Mr. Minh added. Besides, the province needed to attract and retain investors and professionals to work locally by ensuring a quality education for their children. Therefore, as FPT suggested, Binh Duong provincial leaders would best facilitate launching inter-level schools and software parks.

"Digital transformation is a vital mission that needs to divide into specific tasks. From the beginning of 2022, the province has set 69 tasks. In the coming time, we will continue to make proper adjustments so that all local departments can effectively implement their responsibilities. During the implementation, it would be perfect if we could have your support based on FPT's capabilities and experience", shared Mr. Minh.

In response to the provincial head, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of FPT Corporation - believed that Binh Duong could create the impetus for economic development with local wisdom. FPT would always be ready, with its resources and mastery, to promote the quality of human resources in Binh Duong.

FPT suggested establishing an inter-level school system (including primary, secondary, and high school) or the UniSchool educational complex in Thu Dau Mot, Di An, or Thuan An. FPT Education currently has 140,000 students and is snowballing. The employment rate after three months of graduation reaches 98%. Moreover, there's a place for lessons involving AI and robotics in every grade of FPT Schools for every student, which will be an advantage for Binh Duong to become a locality fostering the Intelligent Industry.

In terms of digital transformation, Mr. Truong Gia Binh said that FPT Corporation was willing to work hand in hand with Binh Duong in all three pillars, including digital government, digital economy, and digital society.

According to the Corporation's proposal, FPT would accompany Binh Duong in promoting Digital Government in such actions: building a free open data platform for people, businesses and authorities; promoting digital citizenship apps; developing infrastructure for digital transformation and effectively exploiting the province's Intelligent Operation Center (IOC). Similarly, FPT would go along with Binh Duong to gradually encourage the digital economy through accelerating e-commerce and digital transformation (through Base.vn).

"A German corporation hired us to build the smartest factory in the world and possibly expand dozens of them globally. Binh Duong's businesses can follow the same model. In addition, we also have Base.vn - the solution for digital transformation and productivity enhancement for small and medium-sized enterprises," said Mr. Binh.

For the Digital Society, FPT would support the province in implementing digital transformation solutions in healthcare and education; promoting cashless payment by, for example, paying workers via digital platforms; establishing Community Working Groups with the core force being youth union members to be front liners in digital transformation…

According to FPT's CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, those suggestions for establishing an inter-school system and accelerating practical solutions for digital transformation would motivate Binh Duong toward development.

In addition, it signed digital transformation cooperation agreements with 24 localities and gave digital transformation training sessions for tens of thousands of provincial leaders at all levels.

Based on its digital transformation experience, local socio-economic characteristics, and competitive advantages, the Corporation will accompany provinces to develop all three pillars (Digital Economy, Digital Government, and Digital Society) comprehensively toward the digital nation model. Furthermore, it will help localities flexibly adapt to the new normal by consulting on socio-economic development planning, digital transformation scheming and training to raise awareness on a large scale.
