FPT and Hue side by side into a New Era of Growth

Hue, March 28, 2025 – As part of a working session with the People's Committee of Hue City, FPT Corporation sat down for an in-depth discussion to explore opportunities for collaboration with the shared goal of driving Hue's comprehensive digital transformation.

The meeting brought together top leaders from the Hue City People’s Committee, including Mr. Le Truong Luu – Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong – Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; as well as representatives from various departments, agencies, and educational institutions across the city. From FPT Corporation, attendees included Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – CEO, and senior leaders from its subsidiaries.

During the event, both sides reflected on their collaboration journey, reaffirming FPT's close partnership with Hue through key projects that have made notable contributions to the city's technological advancement and socio-economic development.

Strategic cooperation rooted in local realities

Recognizing Hue's potential and development ambitions, FPT has recently carried out extensive field research to understand the city's socio-economic context, as well as the hurdles and opportunities it faces. Based on those insights, FPT proposed a tailored digital transformation roadmap covering significant areas such as: Leveraging technology to improve public administration, boost transparency and efficiency, and provide better services for citizens. FPT pledges to support city leadership in real-time decision-making using data, promoting the digital economy by helping local businesses enhance their competitiveness through tech adoption, e-commerce, and big data.

FPT will join hands with Hue to nurture a generation of high-quality digital professionals through modern, industry-aligned training programs.

In addition, FPT and Hue aim to build a smart, sustainable city through the application of AI and IoT in traffic, environmental, and tourism management.

At the event, Mr. Le Truong Luu – Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council – emphasized Hue’s development goals and expressed his hope that FPT would continue its support in science, technology, and education. He also encouraged FPT to share insights from successful initiatives in other provinces and provide strategic recommendations to help Hue achieve its vision as laid out in Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

Responding to Hue's ambitions, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh introduced the 6S methodology – a structured approach to ensure effective implementation. The model includes: Strategic Compass, Multi-Dimensional Consultation, Designing a Success Roadmap, Rapid Deployment, Evaluation & Validation, and Continuous Improvement. He underscored that achieving "double-digit growth" hinges on AI, with the key being "Popular AI," a philosophy where government leaders and citizens understand and embrace AI as part of daily life.

Meanwhile, FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa proposed the “Hue+” model, which encourages the city to leverage institutional reform as a springboard to enhance competitiveness. He also shared FPT’s adaptive planning approach: a three-year strategic cycle with annual adjustments to stay ahead of emerging trends. FPT stands ready to co-create a bespoke transformation roadmap that aligns with Hue’s unique characteristics and priorities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, FPT and the Hue City People’s Committee affirmed that digital transformation is more than just a trend but also a foundational driver of sustainable development. Both sides committed to working hand in hand to implement key national strategies such as: Resolution 57 TW/CP from the Politburo, which focuses on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Resolution 18 TW on streamlining government operations and enhancing the efficiency of the political system, laying the groundwork for Hue’s rise in the national development landscape.
