FPT Proposes Comprehensive Digital Transformation and Education Development with Phu Yen

FPT Corporation's representatives met with provincial leaders of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, proposing a collaboration on education and digital transformation on June 22, 2023.

Representing FPT Corporation were Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO - and leaders of its subsidiaries.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, briefly introduced the local potentials and fundamental sectors that need acceleration.

According to Mr. Ta Anh Tuan, provincial officials aimed to develop high technology and tourism to attract technology experts. Phu Yen asked to cooperate with FPT to accelerate comprehensive digital transformation in various fields. Provincial leaders also acknowledged that Phu Yen faced difficulties and required administrative reform and digital transformation to create breakthroughs.

Therefore, they desired to find development solutions, accelerating the comprehensive digital transformation scheme in key sectors.

According to Mr. Khoa, the top priority was building an education center for the young generation in Phu Yen. Specifically, high-quality inter-schools and vocational schools should be established to solve unemployment.

"Human factors are extremely significant. If well-prepared, a good labor force will attract more investors. With the nationwide education system, we believe FPT will help make a new generation of global citizens who meet the needs of society," emphasized Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa.

Mr. Pham Thien Duy, Director of Digital Government Solutions - FPT Information System Company (FPT IS - a subsidiary of FPT Corporation), also proposed several suggestions and strategies for digital transformation that FPT would carry on to support Phu Yen implementing Project 06 of the Government. Specific actions include building a comprehensive data warehouse; deploying the Digital Citizen Application; consulting and deploying the application and service platform; building a management system for the log and results of administrative procedures; developing the open data portal of Phu Yen province; and designing paperless conference rooms for the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director of FPT Education, proposed allowing students access to the international standard programs. The Corporation is committed to a practical implementation, commissioning, and operation schedule with the inter-school project. FPT Education also suggested building a vocational school. In the spirit of "shorten the academic journey, get jobs early," the school would help solve the employment issues in the province.

Expressing their readiness to work with FPT to promote comprehensive digital transformation, local officials discussed closely with the corporate leaders to clarify the digital roadmaps for each socio-economic sector.

In response to FPT's suggestions, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan highly appreciated its rich experience in implementing digital transformation and developing the inter-level education model in provinces and cities. He also expressed his expectation that years of experience would effectively impact Phu Yen.

Besides, Leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs suggested FPT give a hand to unfortunate children in Phu Yen who lost their parents during the pandemic, sending them to the Hope School (FPT Corporation).

FPT has so far facilitated signing digital transformation cooperation agreements with nearly 30 localities and provided training courses to tens of thousands of local leaders across the country. In the coming time, FPT will accompany Phu Yen in digital transformation to help the locality erase the gaps and arouse competitive potential.
