At the 3rd Meeting of the Vietnam–Germany Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation (JEC-3) held on November 17, FPT participated as a leading Vietnamese technology enterprise, presenting several proposals to enhance strategic cooperation between the two countries in high-tech fields, particularly in the semiconductor industry.

In her remarks, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hồng Vân, Chief of Staff of FPT Semiconductor, emphasized that Vietnam is identifying semiconductors as a national priority industry, while Germany is accelerating supply chain diversification—creating an optimal moment for both sides to implement practical, mutually beneficial cooperation initiatives.

FPT suggested that, to meet the growing demand for semiconductor talent globally, the two countries should jointly develop and expand a high-quality engineering workforce through enterprise–academia training and technology transfer programs between Vietnamese companies and German industrial and educational institutions.

FPT also proposed establishing joint innovation and R&D centers in Vietnam to serve German enterprises investing in the Vietnamese market. These centers would focus on research in advanced materials, semiconductors, optics, and integrated electro-mechanical–software systems, while promoting technology application in industrial production, automotive technology, and smart devices—key strengths of both countries.

In addition, FPT highlighted the importance of developing digital and automated infrastructure aligned with European standards, enabling German businesses to operate efficiently in Vietnam. FPT expressed its willingness to collaborate with German partners on deploying solutions for digitalized operations, process governance, smart manufacturing, document and workflow management, as well as training industrial management professionals to EU standards—enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises in both countries amid global digital transformation.

Beyond strategic orientations, FPT also proposed specific cooperation programs with several German companies attending the meeting, including Infineon Technologies AG, Carl Zeiss, Leonhard Kurz Stiftung & Co. KG, and De-Velop Consulting. The proposed collaboration areas span chip design and testing, embedded software development, industrial AI and data solutions, advanced materials applications, and digitalization of manufacturing operations.

Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade highly valued FPT’s proactive engagement and substantive proposals, affirming that FPT is one of Vietnam’s strongest technology partners—fully capable of leading strategic cooperation programs in high-tech fields.

German representatives also reaffirmed that Vietnam remains a key partner for Germany in the Asia–Pacific region, especially in semiconductors, innovation, and Industry 4.0.

With a comprehensive technology ecosystem and extensive experience delivering large-scale projects globally, FPT expects that the initiatives proposed at JEC-3 will pave the way for practical, sustainable cooperation projects—helping Vietnam become an essential link in the global high-tech semiconductor value chain, while supporting German enterprises in expanding and operating efficiently in Vietnam.
