FPT aims to capitalize on its extensive cooperation history with Bac Giang province to unlock the semiconductor industry's potential further. The Corporation is committed to continuing to support the province in its journey toward becoming a semiconductor hub.

On April 16, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province convened a conference titled "Current Status and Solutions for Developing Labor Resources in the Semiconductor Industry in Bac Giang Province." Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS and FPT Semiconductor, offered numerous recommendations for local authorities to expedite efforts in capitalizing on the semiconductor wave.

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS and FPT Semiconductor, underscored: "Bac Giang possesses a strategic geographical location and holds immense potential to emerge as a nucleus for nurturing semiconductor labor resources. This potential is further enhanced by the province's steadfast determination and preparedness to embrace new development prospects, facilitating collaborations with domestic and international partners."

In particular, Bac Giang stands out as one of the premier educational hubs in the country, boasting over 1,000 nationally accredited schools and high schools that employ the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education approach. Students excelling in mathematics and pursuing STEM education are well-suited to transition into the semiconductor industry in the future. Furthermore, Bac Giang's economy claimed the top nationwide in the first quarter of 2024. The province is home to three major enterprises investing in the semiconductor sector and hosts five industrial clusters in electronics. "Therefore, Bac Giang possesses a robust foundation for nurturing the semiconductor industry, positioning itself as a hub for cultivating semiconductor labor resources for businesses and industrial parks," remarked Mr. Tran Dang Hoa.

According to Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Bac Giang must promptly capitalize on the opportunity to establish itself as a semiconductor hub and emerge as a frontrunner in the industry. First, the province needs to prepare semiconductor chip resources to cater to the requirements of foreign enterprises that intend to establish factories in Bac Giang. This entails attracting domestic and international investors to construct new semiconductor facilities, thereby localizing the supply chain. Additionally, the province should focus on developing supply chain and warehouse centers, positioning itself as a regional and global distribution hub due to its advantageous geographical location and open policy.

In conclusion, FPT representatives expressed their desire to leverage the strengths gained from their longstanding collaboration with Bac Giang province to further unlock the potential of the semiconductor industry. The Corporation is committed to continuing to support the province in its journey toward becoming a semiconductor hub.
