FPT holds largest programming contest of artificial intelligence in Vietnam

FPT announced to hold the largest programming contest of artificial intelligence in Vietnam Vietnam AI Hackathon 2017 on May 11th. From now on, programmers, students, technology engineers and tech lovers in Vietnam can register to participate in the contest on https://tech.fpt.com.vn/hackathon.  

On June 3rd and 4th, the largest programming contest of artificial intelligence in Vietnam with the theme of "Developing applications using artificial intelligence, providing an unlimited experience for users" will be held by FPT Corporation at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi.

Each team must have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 5 members. The deadline for submitting their ideas is May 23rd. Deadline for submitting the group list is May 26th.

The contest is expected to create the playground for Vietnamese technology community to develop the ideas that make up the application, bring interesting experience for users based on artificial intelligence. Travel expenses of the teams outside of Hanoi will be covered to help them participate in the contest.

Vietnam AI Hackathon with a total prize value of up to VND700 million, over VND100 million of which is in cash.

The winner will receive VND50 million in cash, presents and thousands of dollars in account from sponsor Amazon and support from FPT in 6 months to develop their product, etc

Especially, not only acting as the organizer, FPT also opens many valuable APIs and data as the basis for contestants to develop their products. The participants can develop ideas based on the valuable data of VnExpress, e-commerce portal Sendo.vn, FPT Shops, and other APIs in security, e-commerce, network infrastructure, smart traffic, natural language processing, image processing,...

Five judges of the contest are the "big" names in the technology community, they are

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh - Founder of PeaceSoft Group, Chairman of NextTec Group, one of the leaders in e-commerce and electronic payment in Vietnam.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - Chairman of FPT Software - the software company with the biggest growing rate and scale in Vietnam.

Mr. Le Hong Viet – Chief Technology Oficier of FPT Corporation – Vietnamese who received the Gold Medal for International Informatics, laying the groundwork for the development of New technologies in FPT.

Mr. Le Sy Vinh – Ph.D in Information Technology, Heinrich Heine University, Dean of Information Technology Faculty – university of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University.

Mr. Dang Hoang Vu – Ph.D in mathematics – University of Cambridge (UK), Head of Science – FPT Corporation.
