FPT Cooperates with Dong Thap Province in Technology and Human Resource Training

FPT signed a cooperation agreement with Dong Thap province to promote technology and provide comprehensive human resource training programs to favor the agricultural sector.

Accordingly, FPT Corporation cooperated with Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee to implement the e-Government model to improve the local administration's efficiency in serving people and businesses. The E-government model is developed based on open data towards building a digital government, digital economy, and digital society while ensuring information safety and cyber security. 

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - and Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO of FPT Corporation - signed the agreement.

The two sides would also join hands to deploy the smart hospital model, electronic health records, electronic medical records, and other technology applications in the medical field that FPT had experienced. In addition, FPT also accompanied the locality to:  provide non-cash payment methods for people; implement digital transformations for typical enterprises; establish a high-tech park in Cao Lanh city; conduct digital transformation training courses to foster local experts for Dong Thap province.

Regarding investment promotion, FPT would go hand in hand with Dong Thap to innovative startups located in the province. On the other hand, the local leaders would create favorable conditions for FPT to establish an inter-level school under the province's incentive mechanisms for educational socialization. Dong Thap would also increase investment in vocational education and allow FPT to become one of the enterprises developing digital technology in the province.

The signing ceremony is part of the "Mekong Startup 2022" in Dong Thap province. It came about in the presence of leaders of Government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, representatives of international organizations, and industry associations.

Attending Mekong Startup 2022, FPT demonstrated its ecosystem of technology products that support agricultural production and business, including Sendo Farm - the next-gen shopping app, The digital marketplace (Cho So), Foxpay - the cashless payment solution, and FPT Camera - the security and surveillance camera. In particular, those services and solutions helped manage and optimize operational efficiency in agricultural enterprises.

FPT's booth drew visitors' attention with its initiatives for technology applications in agriculture. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and leaders of the Ministries also stopped by the booth, accompanied by FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh. The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated FPT's technology platforms introduced at the event.

Sendo Farm is a new shopping app that digitizes the distribution of clean food and agricultural products. The app makes it easier for agribusinesses to showcase and sell their products and provides an exceptionally convenient shopping experience for buyers. With Sendo Farm, customers can go shopping online and then get goods in person at the system of 1,000 delivery points in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Strategic partners of the app can be mentioned as Vissan, Ba Huan, CP, Tony Fruit, Tan Kim, and Thao Nguyen...

Regarding the Cho So solution, people in an area can quickly discover all products, services, and tourist destinations by location. The solution helps companies and business households reach their target audience, build networks of collaborators across the country, and increase sales. Also, local authorities can easily authenticate and manage the agricultural business household and consumer information through the app, thereby promoting the development of the regional digital economy.

Foxpay is an innovative and seamless digital payment solution that comprehensively meets the needs of people and businesses and goes hand in hand with the digital transformation process of localities. It is linked to 40 banks and accepted at more than 200,000 payment points nationwide, providing diversified payment methods. In 2022, Foxpay successfully deployed a digital payment solution on the Hue-S platform, making Hue the first locality to have a seamless e-wallet model integrated into the digital citizen application. The solution also supports multi-payment methods with many ways of connection and flexible integration, which are tailored following the business specifics of each industry.

Within the agenda of the first Mekong Startup Forum taking place in Dong Thap, Deputy CEO of Sendo Nguyen Phuong Hoang introduced the next-gen shopping app Sendo Farm with the ambition of utilizing technology to control the entire process of delivering food from farms to tables, providing healthy meals for everyone at home.

After initial successes, Sendo Farm would strengthen the use of modern technologies such as IoT and blockchain to help improve transparency and traceability for agricultural products. Besides, the app would support tracking nutrition facts and pesticide residues to bring healthy products to Vietnamese people.

Strong commitment to agriculture and with great support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, FPT has participated in many agricultural digital transformation promotion programs in about 40 provinces through training programs to put agricultural products on the e-commerce platform over the past two years.
