FPT Partners with the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences to Launch International Math Competition – Vio Global Champion

Hanoi, November 14, 2025 – FPT Corporation and the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VIES) have officially signed a cooperation agreement to co-organize and launch the international mathematics competition Vio Global Champion for students aged 6 to 13, available at https://vio-global.com/vi. The competition aims to inspire a love for mathematics, foster creative thinking, and contribute to elevating Vietnam’s educational presence on the global stage.

Vio Global Champion is academically supervised and content-directed by VIES, ensuring that students aged 6 to 13 gain access to modern mathematical knowledge and competencies aligned with PISA–TIMSS standards—international benchmarks for assessing students’ mathematics and science proficiency. The competition is developed by FPT on a modern technology platform, operating a large-scale online testing system with AI-powered proctoring, and leveraging nearly two decades of technology, data, and implementation experience from Violympic, the online mathematics contest that once attracted tens of millions of students.

Vio Global Champion is expected to become a global intellectual bridge, fostering cultural and knowledge exchange while expanding mathematical development opportunities for students in Vietnam and other countries. The competition also enables students to access a modern learning resource ecosystem, keep up with global mathematics education trends, and build confidence throughout their learning journey.

In addition, students will participate entirely in English, allowing them to familiarize themselves with academic language, broaden international exposure, and enhance access to global knowledge. With content aligned to the school curriculum and progressively challenging rounds, the competition evaluates higher-order thinking, mathematical application, and global citizenship skills. Through this platform, organizers aim to identify and honor young talents who demonstrate passion for learning and a drive to pursue knowledge.

At the event, Mr. Cao Tùng Anh, Head of VIO Technology Division at FPT Corporation, highlighted the key features of the program: “Vio Global Champion 2025 will consist of three rounds—Experience, National, and International Finals—taking place from November 2025 to June 2026. All exams will be conducted in English with a combination of multiple-choice and written responses, aligned with the school curriculum while expanding logical reasoning and real-world application tasks to meet international standards. With infrastructure capable of supporting 300,000 online test-takers simultaneously and AI monitoring to prevent cheating in real time, the competition demonstrates strong technological capability to deliver a global-scale academic platform.”

The International Finals are expected to take place in Hanoi in June 2026, gathering students from various countries to compete, exchange knowledge, and experience Vietnamese culture. The total prize pool is valued at VND 2 billion.
