FPT IS issues PCI DSS certificate for MB Bank

Recently, FPT IS (a member unit of FPT Corporation) gave PCI DSS certificate - a globally recognized security certificate for international card payment service providers to Military Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (MB). This is the fourth year in a row that MB has received the PCI DSS certificate and is the first year it has selected FPT IS as its assessor.

As one of the pioneers in applying technology to provide customers with modern and highly secure banking services, MB has received PCI DSS certificate since 2017.

This is the first year MB has selected FPT IS as a partner to conduct the assessment and certification

To meet the standards of PCI DSS, MB and FPT IS went through the standardization of the information security system. The two sides also completed the report with more than 300 detailed requirements in building and maintaining a firewall system to protect payment card data, regularly evaluating and re-testing the system security process etc.

Since 2015, FPT IS has been qualified by the PCI Security Standards Council and recognized as the first Qualified Security Assessor – QSA in Vietnam to validate an entity's adherence to PCI DSS.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is the global card industry security standard by Payment Card Industry Data Security Council including major international payment brands namely Visa Inc, MasterCard Worldwide, American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International… In Vietnam, only about 10% of the banks meet the standards and possess the certificate.
