FPT IS just officially launched the contract to design, supply, instruct and implement Enterprise Resource Planning/Enterprise Asset Management for Bangladeshi energy provider Gas Transmission Company. This is Vietnam's largest overseas ERP project.

At the launching ceremony, GTLC Director Md. Mahbub Sarwar highly appreciated FPT IS’ capacity and hoped that the project would be successfully implemented soon, paving the way for ERP deployment in all member companies.

The project signed on April 07, 2016 is FPT IS’ first ERP contract for the energy, water, and gas fields in the South Asian markets.

Under the plan, the project will be implemented within 18 months, starting in April 2016 for all GTCL’s member companies throughout Bangladesh. The FPT IS implementation of an ERP/EAM will help Bangladesh ensure national energy security and improve the management and maintenance capability for the nationwide gas pipeline network.

The project sees FPT IS take its first step into the Utilities industry in South Asia and other foreign marketplaces. Including this project, FPT IS has won three contracts in Bangladesh. In 2014 and 2015, FPT IS was chosen to deliver a project for the Tax Department of Bangladesh with a total value of USD 33.6 million and BITAX worth USD6.6 million.
