FPT Japan promote development
FPT established FPT Software Japan Co., Ltd (FPT Japan), headquartered in Osaka, on November 13, 2005. So far, it has possessed three offices in major Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

The continuous presence in major industrial centers underlines FPT determination to develop in the Japanese market. For FPT Software, Japan is the most important market, collecting the highest share of revenue (50 %) as well as planned in globalization strategy of the whole group.
In last 3 years (2010-2012), the revenue from the Japanese market has always achieved average growth at 27.5%/year. It is expected to reach 40% in 2013.
In spite of being the pioneering software company, FPT’s revenue from Japan is very small compared to the market size. According to Chairman of FPT Software Hoang Nam Tien, Japan is the world's fourth largest software market, spending over USD130 billion in the field annually and requiring foreign providers. However, FPT Software reaches only about USD55 million.
"The growth opportunities offered by the Japanese software market are unlimited or in hand. Considering software outsourcing contracts as fish, we are seeing a big school of fish. However, whether Vietnamese enterprises have knitted a fishing net strong enough to catch this opportunity or not", VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said at early ICT meeting.
Facing this great opportunity, Director of FPT Japan Tran Xuan Khoi took aim at achieving USD 200 million in revenue by 2017.
However, its current problem is labor force. It is estimated that in order to win the above goal, FPT Japan will need 8,000 engineers knowing Japanese in the short term. Solving this problem, it can make its challenging target feasible.
