In 2024, FPT's revenue in the Japanese market grew by 32.2% year-on-year (a 36.3% increase in Japanese Yen) despite the currency's depreciation. This impressive growth is driven by strategic projects in key areas such as Legacy Modernization, Geopolitical Risk Management (GRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Automotive, and AI. FPT continues solidifying its position as a leading technology partner in Japan by delivering end-to-end solutions, from consulting and system deployment to operation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, Blockchain, and VR/XR to serve its Japanese clients.

In Japan, FPT also capitalizes on its expansive network of subsidiary companies to strengthen consulting activities and enhance service deployment in AI & Cloud Computing, digital transformation, and education. A key strategy for maintaining competitiveness and driving revenue growth is maximizing synergies across its subsidiaries, reinforcing FPT’s ecosystem of solutions.

In 2024, FPT expanded its footprint in Japan through successful M&A deals and strategic partnerships with major industry players. This includes the acquisition of NAC, a Japanese technology company, and a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA, one of the world’s leading technology corporations, to establish an AI "factory." Additionally, FPT formed joint ventures with SCSK, a major Japanese enterprise specializing in comprehensive technology solutions, and Konica Minolta, a global provider of digital office solutions. These partnerships not only broaden FPT’s customer and partner network in Japan but also accelerate the adoption of advanced technology solutions across various industries. By leveraging its expertise, FPT supports Japanese businesses in optimizing production processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening global competitiveness.

Simultaneously, FPT has been expanding its physical presence in Japan, opening new offices in key financial and technology hubs to engage with top-tier clients and elite tech talent. Most recently, the Corporation inaugurated its 17th office in Japan, a 3,000m² facility in Mita – one of Tokyo’s most prestigious and high-end districts.

FPT has collaborated with other Vietnamese IT enterprises in Japan to establish the Vietnam - Japan Digital Transformation Association (VADX Japan) as part of its commitment to human resource development. This initiative aims to build a workforce of tens of thousands of high-quality engineers in Japan while also training hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese engineers proficient in Japanese. In addition, FPT has announced a 125-billion-VND investment in a specialized training program to develop over 3,000 high-quality information and communication technology (ICT) professionals for the Japanese market, addressing the ongoing talent shortage in Japan's IT sector.

"After surpassing the half-billion USD revenue milestone, FPT targets Japan as a billion-dollar revenue market by 2027, positioning itself among Japan's top 15 largest IT companies. In the coming years, we will continue to drive growth in key areas such as AI, Automotive, and Digital Transformation while fostering a corporate culture prioritizing creativity and innovation. Our goal is to create the best job opportunities for Vietnamese IT engineers in Japan," said Mr. Do Van Khac, Deputy CEO of FPT Software and General Director of FPT Japan, FPT Corporation.
