FPT joins AGL to accelerate Connected Car development

FPT Software has joined the Automotive Grade Linux project at the Linux Foundation, marking an important stage in FPT’s automotive technology development.

FPT’s mission is to offer comprehensive services and solutions that facilitate use of infotainment, telematics and autonomous driving.

"We have yearn to collaborate and contribute to the world’s largest open collaboration community to develop the next-gen technologies of Connected Car,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Kinh, Director of Automotive and Manufacturing industry, FPT Software.

The membership will not only further advance FPT’s automotive capabilities but also strengthen the company’s commitment to open innovation, which enables FPT to better serve global customers working on Connected Car particularly and automotive-related projects generally.

This is also one of the important technological capabilities to help FPT show its pioneering role in Industry 4.0. FPT has received approval of the Ministry of Transport, via a statement, to deploy an autonomous vehicle test in Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
