The Vietnam Union for Development of Cyber Safety and Security Products was officially established in Hanoi on December 28th. The 21-member union is committed to focusing resources and promoting the unique strengths of each enterprise to develop quality products, capable of competing with foreign products, forming a full ecosystem of Vietnam products serving e-government, smart cities and national important information systems.

Pioneering the digital transformation, FPT is well aware of the importance of network safety and security to socio-economic development. Before joining the Union, FPT had received three major awards within the framework of the annual International Conference and Exposition “Vietnam's Information Security Day 2019” held at the end of November.

At the launching ceremony, Nguyen Huy Dung, Head of the MIC’s Authority of Information Security, said that over 80% of network security products used in Vietnam are imported, meanwhile, Vietnamese enterprises have mastered the technology and can meet over 60% of a full network security and safety ecosystem.
The goal set for 2020 is for Vietnamese network security products to meet the demands of a full ecosystem of network security products, and to make Vietnam's network security products account for over 75% of the domestic market and export to regional countries by 2025.
