FPT Inaugurates Its 17th Office in Japan

FPT continues to expand its presence in Japan with the launch of the FPT Gunma Mobility DX Hub in Gunma Prefecture, aiming to attract and develop high-quality technology talent in the region.

On May 13, FPT officially inaugurated the FPT Gunma Mobility DX Hub in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture (Japan). The launch of the Mobility DX Hub marks a strategic milestone in expanding FPT’s technology ecosystem in Japan while contributing to the local digital and technology workforce development.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation; Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software; representatives of the local government; delegates from the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan; as well as numerous partners and local businesses.

In his remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed that FPT will further strengthen cooperation with Gunma Prefecture, particularly in attracting and developing high-quality IT human resources.

Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, shared that the FPT Gunma Mobility DX Hub opens a new era of technological collaboration between Vietnam and Japan, especially as AI, autonomous vehicles, and digital transformation are redefining every industry.

FPT is currently partnering with many Japanese enterprises in sectors such as automotive, manufacturing, and finance, while continuing to invest in the expansion of its digital ecosystem. The new office, located in Ota City — home to numerous factories and companies — is part of FPT’s strategy to strengthen its local presence and enhance customer connections.

Mr. Yamamoto Ichita, Governor of Gunma Prefecture, expressed appreciation for FPT’s investment decision, welcoming the leading Vietnamese technology corporation to Gunma. The Governor emphasized that many local enterprises have already established strong partnerships with Vietnam and that Gunma wishes to further strengthen its ties with the Southeast Asian nation. “As Governor, I am committed to providing the best possible support for FPT’s growth here,” said Mr. Yamamoto.

As the Vietnam–Japan relationship has been elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, FPT Japan, with 20 years of development, continues to affirm its role as a technology bridge between the two nations. Guided by the spirit of “Stay hungry,” FPT remains committed to innovation, accompanying Japan’s industries in shaping the future of sustainable mobility.

A representative from Subaru also extended congratulations during the event. FPT is currently working with Subaru on digital transformation initiatives and electric vehicle development in both Vietnam and Japan, including providing high-quality operational teams.

The FPT Gunma office, located on the 3rd floor of the SS Ota Building, just a 3-minute walk from Ota Station, is FPT Software’s 17th office in Japan. The workspace features an open and modern design with around 35 workstations, an 8-person meeting room fully equipped for online conferences, and convenient surrounding amenities.
