Speaking on the topic "The Rise of Vietnam in AI & Semiconductors - The Next Technological Powerhouse" at the conference on March 12, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Lan and Mr. Nguyen Huy Toan from FPT AI Center, FPT Corporation, emphasized that the AI chip market is projected to hit 90 billion USD by 2025, driving substantial investment in the semiconductor industry. They highlighted that Vietnam is on the rise, powered by young, dynamic talent and supportive government policies. FPT has taken the lead in this landscape, building AI factories in Vietnam and Japan, and forging strategic partnerships with NVIDIA, Microsoft, Mila, and Landing AI. FPT also works to optimize chip design, manufacturing, and operational processes in the semiconductor industry. By leveraging expertise in Generative AI and chip design to develop small language models for edge devices, with a focus on automotive applications, FPT's IvyEdge solution is enhancing the in-car experience through AI.

At the conference held on March 13, Mr. Pham Quang Nhat Minh, Director of the AI Research and Development Center at FPT IS, FPT Corporation, shared his perspective on the "Application of GenAI in Government activities and the legal field." According to Mr. Minh, governments worldwide are accelerating the adoption of GenAI in public services and legal processes. A QRI organization report noted that over 75 countries have announced national AI strategies. GenAI holds great potential to support a wide range of activities, including research and drafting laws, searching case law and analyzing policies, automating office tasks, and providing data-driven decision support. In addition, GenAI-powered AI assistants can help answer citizen inquiries on administrative procedures, reduce the workload on officials, and enhance the overall citizen experience.

Mr. Minh emphasized that data, infrastructure, people, and technology are critical factors for successfully applying GenAI. He highlighted that FPT is well-positioned to accompany the Government and localities. Specifically, FPT has developed an AI assistant for looking up legal documents and operates an AI Factory infrastructure, enabling fast, efficient, and secure AI deployments. Additionally, Mr. Minh offered recommendations on policy frameworks to help ensure that the application of GenAI in government and legal activities is practical and responsible.
