On August 20, 2025, FPT Corporation officially inaugurated and put into operation the FPT Fornix HCM02 Data Center at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City. As one of the largest and most advanced data centers in Vietnam, built to international standards with a commitment to sustainability, the center serves as a critical infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Digital Transformation—contributing to the realization of Vietnam’s ambition to become the Digital Hub of Southeast Asia by 2030.

The event gathered leaders of central and local authorities, major international partners, and media representatives, reflecting strong attention to digital infrastructure - the “backbone” of the national digital economy.
Anticipating the AI Wave and the Data Boom
The world is witnessing a data revolution. As digital transformation becomes a core driver of economic growth, the demand for data storage, processing, and security is surging - particularly amid the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, especially Generative AI. The emergence of high-performance, energy-intensive computing models is fueling global expansion of data infrastructure. According to Mordor Intelligence, Vietnam’s data center market is estimated to reach 524.7 MW in 2025 and is projected to hit 950.4 MW by 2030, representing an average annual growth rate of 12.6%.
In Southeast Asia - the new focal point of the global digital economy - Vietnam aims to become the Digital Hub of the region by 2030. The inauguration of the FPT Fornix HCM02 Data Center marks a strategic milestone toward that goal and establishes a solid foundation for key digital services such as Fornix Private Cloud - Vietnam’s first private cloud solution that combines data sovereignty, international security compliance, and scalable flexibility. This reflects FPT’s commitment to accompanying businesses on their comprehensive digital transformation journey.
The FPT Fornix HCM02 facility spans eight floors, covering 10,000 m² with a total capacity of 3,600 racks. It is designed with superior redundancy architecture configurations (N+1, N+2, 2N) that enable continuous maintenance without interruption, ensuring stable operation with uptime ≥99.982%—a crucial factor for industries such as banking, e-commerce, logistics, and national digital projects where IT systems cannot afford even seconds of downtime. Located at Saigon Hi-Tech Park—Vietnam’s premier technology hub—FPT Fornix HCM02 not only benefits from its strategic position but also adheres to the strictest global standards.
“FPT Fornix HCM02 is developed under the Carrier Neutral model, allowing customers to freely choose and connect with multiple telecom providers. This model enhances connectivity flexibility, optimizes costs, strengthens redundancy, improves operational efficiency, and—most importantly—builds an open digital ecosystem that ensures national digital sovereignty and infrastructure security,” said Mr. Tran Hai Duong, Chairman and CEO of FPT Telecom International, FPT Corporation.

A Pillar for National Digital Sovereignty
Designed and constructed in compliance with ANSI/TIA-942 Rated 3, the center integrates a comprehensive quality and security management system certified with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and ISO 22301. It also holds internationally recognized security and risk control certifications, including PCI DSS, SOC 2, and TVRA. FPT Fornix HCM02 is the first data center in Vietnam designed in accordance with the LEED Certification—the world’s leading standard for green architecture. Alongside global certifications, the center also fully complies with Vietnamese national technical standards for grounding and lightning protection, such as QCVN 09 and QCVN 32.

Beyond being a data storage facility, FPT Fornix HCM02 serves as a comprehensive digital ecosystem platform for enterprises of all sizes. Its services include colocation, dedicated server rental and provisioning, cloud computing, IT system management and operation, as well as customized network and connectivity solutions—all tailored to optimize costs, enhance performance, and enable scalable business growth.
Sharing his perspective on the enterprise’s role in national digital transformation, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom, emphasized: “FPT is not merely a telecommunications infrastructure provider—we are the heartbeat, the foundation for the nation’s digital future. We take pride in building and safeguarding that infrastructure: from modern fiber optic networks to world-class data centers and a nationwide telecommunications system.
More importantly, we understand that we are journeying alongside our nation in an era where ‘the age of rising’ is not just a slogan, but a spirit and aspiration. FPT is committed to working closely with the Government in major national programs such as Project 06 on E-Government, Digital Society, and National Data Platforms—helping Vietnam rise stronger than ever.”
In an era where data has become a strategic national resource, investing in domestic data infrastructure is a prerequisite for ensuring digital sovereignty. As a pioneer in digital infrastructure, FPT is dedicated to collaborating with governmental agencies to establish a secure and resilient data ecosystem, contributing to national cybersecurity and information safety. The FPT Fornix HCM02 Data Center is not merely a technology facility—it stands as a cornerstone for realizing the vision of a prosperous and digitally empowered Vietnam.
