FPT partners with Ba Ria-Vung Tau for digital transformation

Digital transformation is entering a new phase, and FPT Corporation, alongside Ba Ria-Vung Tau, is positioned to leverage this pivotal opportunity. This was the key focus of the recent working session and the signing of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation.

Digital transformation enters a new "revolution"

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh elaborated on this shift, describing digital transformation as entering a new "revolution," where technology has evolved from a science to a powerful, productive force. He emphasized that machines are no longer just tools that replace physical labor; they now have the potential to replicate human intelligence. "Digital transformation is now more about people. People are the key factor because this transformation will fundamentally change the way we work," Mr. Binh shared during his discussion with the leadership of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh also highlighted the significant opportunities for development in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, especially in light of current geopolitical shifts. He noted, "With these changes, our goal is for every citizen to be able to 'communicate' with the government directly through their phones. Together, we will develop the first apps that serve the people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau."

According to Dang Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee, the province has recognized digital transformation as a key priority and has made notable progress. However, challenges remain, and the province is committed to driving comprehensive development in this area. The focus will be on four critical pillars outlined by the Prime Minister: the information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital management, and digital data.

"To achieve these goals, following the signing of our cooperation agreement with FPT Corporation, the province will direct relevant departments and agencies to work closely with businesses to implement specific strategies across ten key sectors to accelerate digital transformation. Additionally, we aim to strengthen collaboration with FPT in education and training," Vice Chairman Thong shared.

On the same afternoon, the Provincial People's Committee hosted a conference on the impact of digital transformation on socio-economic development. During the event, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh led a session with provincial officials and key leaders, focusing on "Digital Economy - Challenges and Opportunities."

Building a synchronous and effective digital transformation strategy

During the meeting, provincial leaders and FPT representatives discussed future cooperation initiatives. FPT will provide strategic guidance on digital transformation, offering comprehensive solutions to address existing challenges and propose actionable plans to meet the province's digital transformation goals.

FPT will advise on the development of telecommunications and IT infrastructure, design digital transformation platforms, and enhance digital data management and information security. These initiatives aim to meet the province's digital transformation needs in a modern, synchronized manner, positioning Ba Ria-Vung Tau as one of the leading examples of digital transformation in the shortest possible time.

Additionally, FPT will assist in raising awareness and driving engagement among residents and businesses to support the province's digital transformation efforts. This will include organizing conferences and seminars on digital transformation and facilitating connections between companies, associations, and local authorities. FPT will also provide consultation and support for the deployment of Make in Vietnam digital transformation platforms to help local enterprises advance their digital transformation initiatives.

FPT Corporation will train and transfer digital transformation knowledge and technology to the Community Digital Technology Group, with a focus on implementing digital transformation solutions for businesses, households, and residents in the province.

The Corporation will also support knowledge dissemination and develop high-quality human resources in digital transformation and information security for local officials and employees. Additionally, FPT will offer internship and recruitment opportunities for IT students from local educational institutions through FPT University and its subsidiaries.

Mr. Pham Thien Duy, Director of Digital Government Solutions at FPT Corporation, said: "Ba Ria-Vung Tau is currently using several common platforms. Moving forward, FPT proposes supporting the province in deploying additional platforms, particularly for administrative procedures, and ensuring the effective operation of a data warehouse that is 'precise, sufficient, clean, and live.'"

At the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, emphasized the importance of FPT's support in developing a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. This strategy should align with the province's and the nation's overall development roadmap, improving the efficiency of public services and providing optimal support for the people.
