FPT launches international-standard smart vehicle software training program

FPT Corporation partnered with a leading Indian technology company to launch Vietnam's first international-standard short-term training program in Smart Vehicle Software Development.

FPT has recently signed an agreement with Cranes Varsity, one of India’s largest technology training organizations, to transfer its automotive software training program, aiming to develop high-quality human resources aligned with market trends.

FPT has launched the Cranes FPT training system as part of this collaboration, enabling Vietnamese students to access an international-standard Smart Vehicle Software Development program. The curriculum covers key aspects of automotive software development, with a focus on embedded systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced automotive technology. This marks Vietnam's first short-term international-standard Smart Vehicle Software Development training program, designed to meet the growing demands of the global automotive industry.
The Cranes FPT training system will officially begin enrolling students in March 2025 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The program is open to high school graduates, university students, and professionals looking to enhance their expertise or transition into the automotive software field.

Spanning four semesters (two years), the program provides a comprehensive learning path from fundamental to advanced levels in programming, simulation, software testing, and the application of industry standards. AI-related content makes up nearly 30% of the curriculum, equipping students with the latest technological advancements in the field.

Upon completing the two-year program, students will receive an Advanced Diploma in Automotive Software Development (ADAS) awarded by Cranes Varsity. This internationally recognized certification will equip graduates with the qualifications needed to meet the recruitment standards of both domestic and international automotive technology companies.

Mr. Asif Khader, Co-founder and CEO of Cranes Software, emphasized that bridging academia with industrial practice is a core principle that makes FPT and Cranes Varsity ideal partners.

"By combining Cranes Varsity's expertise in training with FPT's technological capabilities, we are confident in our ability to develop top-tier human resources for both Vietnam and the global market," Mr. Binh affirmed.

According to a report by McKinsey & Company, the global automotive software and electronics market is projected to reach 462 billion USD by 2030. Vietnam is emerging as a key player in the global automotive software supply chain, driving an urgent demand for highly skilled software engineers. The collaboration between FPT and Cranes Varsity will play a vital role in training a new generation of professionals, equipping them with the expertise needed to meet the growing demand for high-tech human resources in smart car software both in Vietnam and internationally. This initiative will also contribute to Vietnam’s rise as a global technology hub.
