Recently, FPT’s AI Agentic Automation platform, Akabot, was granted a patent in Taiwan (China). In addition, FPT has been named among the Top 16 global providers of custom software development services by Constellation Research—a leading Silicon Valley-based research and advisory firm specializing in digital transformation and disruptive technologies.
With these two milestones, FPT continues to strengthen its presence in the global technology market, affirming its capabilities in both AI innovation and enterprise software services.

FPT’s AI Agentic Automation platform, Akabot, has been awarded a patent by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office for its machine learning-based technology that automatically segments and classifies input documents. This technology enables the system to identify, split, and categorize various types of documents—such as invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and acceptance reports—with high speed and accuracy.
In traditional workflows, processing and classifying a set of documents can take around 15 minutes. With Akabot’s technology, this process is reduced to under one minute, enabling businesses to handle 300–400 document sets per day, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing reliance on manual processing.
The Taiwan patent provides comprehensive protection for the system, implementation methods, and storage mechanisms of the solution, safeguarding Akabot’s core algorithms from replication. Previously, this machine learning-based document processing technology was also granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2023 and is currently being applied in solutions such as Akabot Vision and UBot Invoice for nearly 2,000 clients worldwide.

At the same time, FPT has gained further international recognition by being included in the Constellation ShortList™ under the Custom Software Development Services (CSDS) category. This list features 16 leading global providers of custom software services, including major technology and consulting firms such as IBM, Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro.
According to Constellation Research, the custom software development market is undergoing rapid transformation as enterprises increasingly demand highly adaptable systems with deep integration of emerging technologies such as generative AI, automation, and AI agent architectures. In this context, service providers must demonstrate strong capabilities in designing and building intelligent, data- and AI-driven software systems to meet increasingly complex operational requirements.

To compile the ShortList, Constellation Research evaluated 40 solutions based on multiple criteria, including requirements analysis and scalable software architecture design; adoption of modern engineering practices such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD; system and platform integration capabilities; as well as testing, security, and lifecycle maintenance.
Achieving both international intellectual property recognition and acknowledgment from global technology research organizations further reinforces FPT’s technological capabilities on a global scale, while underscoring its strategic focus on mastering core technologies and elevating the position of Vietnamese tech enterprises on the global technology map.
