FPT Wins a Double Honor at the 2025 “Actions for the Community” Awards

At the 2025 Actions for the Community Awards Gala held on the evening of December 16 at the Ho Guom Opera House (Hanoi), FPT was honored with a “double win” for two highly human-centered initiatives: Hope School and the Light for Schools Program operated by the Hope Foundation. These recognitions further affirm FPT’s long-standing commitment to serving the community through sustained and meaningful actions over many years.

Organized annually by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with VCCorp, the Actions for the Community Awards has become a prestigious national-level honor recognizing individuals, organizations, and enterprises that consistently create positive social impact through initiatives and projects with long-term value for society.

At the awards ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored Hope School and the Light for Schools Program – Hope Foundation (operated by FPT and VnExpress) in the category “Timely Project”, which recognizes initiatives that respond quickly and effectively to urgent social challenges.

Hope School was recognized as a timely and effective initiative addressing pressing societal issues. Established in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project supports children nationwide who tragically lost one or both parents due to the pandemic, helping them overcome loss and hardship while providing a comprehensive, tuition-free education from Grade 1 through Grade 12. Beyond basic education, Hope School also opens pathways for students to pursue higher education, vocational training, or professional studies within FPT’s education system, equipping them with a solid foundation to confidently enter the future.

The Light for Schools Program of the Hope Foundation—co-founded by FPT and VnExpress—was also honored as a testament to a long-term commitment to educational equity. Launched in 2018, the program has remained steadfast in mobilizing social resources to improve learning conditions for students in the most disadvantaged regions. After more than seven years of implementation, the program has raised over VND 100 billion, renovated and built 296 school sites, and brought light, opportunity, and hope to more than 200,000 students and teachers nationwide.

Representatives of the Hope Foundation shared that the initial goal of the Light for Schools program was to eliminate makeshift classrooms made of wood planks or corrugated metal in remote and mountainous areas. “Throughout the journey of building schools, we realized that students in highland regions also lack boarding facilities, restrooms, bathing areas, kitchens, nutrition, and libraries. As a result, additional projects under the Light for Schools program were developed to meet these essential needs and improve the overall quality of education for students,” the Foundation representative said.

A notable highlight of recent years is the “School Sanitation” project, which has delivered 270 facilities. Beyond constructing restroom complexes that meet the Ministry of Education and Training’s standards, the Hope Foundation also places strong emphasis on educational activities and training programs aimed at fostering hygiene awareness and healthy habits among students.

FPT’s “double win” at the 2025 Actions for the Community Awards represents not only recognition of measurable achievements, but also a testament to the Group’s long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility. From timely responses to urgent challenges to sustained programs implemented over many years, FPT continues to affirm its role as a technology enterprise that grows in parallel with its responsibility to the community—working toward a more humane and inclusive future for all.

Under the theme “Persevering in Service”, the 2025 awards season received 160 project submissions, an increase from 138 projects in 2024. Entries came from businesses, social organizations, volunteer groups, and individuals across the country, spanning diverse fields such as environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, education, healthcare, equal opportunity, social welfare for vulnerable groups, historical commemoration, cultural preservation, and green transformation in production and business. From these, 27 outstanding projects were selected as finalists to present, debate, and engage directly with the Jury Council to identify the most exemplary initiatives.

In addition to the Timely Project category, the Actions for the Community Awards also recognize projects across several other categories, including Ideas, Persevering Projects, Sustainable Projects, Inspirational Projects, and the Award of the Year.
