Within the framework of the 19th Francophonie Summit, FPT Corporation was one of the two companies awarded the Francophone Economic Forum (FFA) Award for its dynamism and impactful contributions to the Francophone community. The award ceremony was attended by Vietnam's General Secretary and State President To Lam and a high-level delegation from Vietnam. President To Lam congratulated the two recipients and recognised their efforts in innovation and contributions to the advancement of science and technology.
At the ceremony, Pham Minh Tuan, Executive Vice President of FPT and Chief Executive Officer of FPT Software, expressed FPT’s gratitude to the Vietnamese Party and Government and the Vietnamese Embassy in France. He attributed FPT’s strong global growth over the past 25 years as well as its prominent positioning globally and within the Francophone community to their support and guidance.
“This accolade reflects FPT's unwavering commitment to advancing the Francophone community through innovation. Since entering the French market in 2008, FPT has been actively fostering bilateral economic ties and cultural exchanges between the two countries,” Tuan emphasised. “As a trusted partner for technology and digital transformation to major French enterprises, FPT aims to serve as a gateway for French businesses and the wider Francophone community to tap into emerging opportunities in Vietnam. Our mission is to elevate Vietnam as a global hub for next-generation technologies, with a strong focus on AI, Digital Transformation, Green Transformation, Automotive, and Semiconductors.”
FPT now has 5 offices across France with over 100 on-site experts and a team of 600 IT engineers serving the market remotely. Its robust competencies are recognized as one of the Top 100 IT companies in France in 2023 with an extensive clientele of over 30 leading French companies such as Airbus, La Poste, Air Liquide, Canal+ Group, Quadient, and Sagemcom.
With a strong commitment to the French market, FPT has actively fortified its local reach while promoting economic and tech collaboration between France and Vietnam. In 2023, the tech firm acquired shares in AOSIS, a French IT consulting firm. It also established the FPT Francophone Association in July to connect the French-speaking community within and outside FPT Corporation, building a network of highly proficient professionals.
Looking ahead, FPT aims to be among the Top 50 IT companies in France, targeting expanding its local workforce to over 500 experts and its presence in France's major cities and neighbouring Francophone countries, including Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Morocco, Tunisia, and Canada.
Founded in 1983 at the 2nd Francophonie Summit, the Francophone Economic Forum is the sole organization representing economic stakeholders at the Summits. In collaboration with international entities like the United Nations, Francophone institutions, regional bodies, and local governments, the FFA works to promote public-private dialogue and collaboration for sustainable development, advocate for the French language, and elevate the Francophone community's global presence.
