FPT Online cooperate with Japanese advertising agency DAC

Japan’s leading digital advertising agency- D.A.Consortium (DAC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FPT Online on technology transfer and investment opportunities.

The MoU was signed by Chairman of FPT Online Thang Duc Than and DAC Chairman and CEO Hirotake Yajima in Hanoi in February.

The two sides will study and negotiate before DAC transfers a number of technologies for building a ecosystem of digital advertisements for its Vietnamese partner. Initially, FPT Online will receive the Data Management Platform – DMP, one of several advanced technologies of DAC.

FPT Online Chairman Mr. Thang said that the technology transfer would help the company to improve its online advertisement services, especially on VnExpress, in terms of scale and efficiency.

According to DAC Chairman Hirotake Yajima, after three years of developing its business in Southeast Asian markets, his company highly appreciated the advertisement potential in Viet Nam, a country of 90 million people and a rapidly developing Internet and communication environment. He was also impressed with scale of FPT Online and VnExpress.

Founded in 1996, from 4 original members, DAC has over 2,000 employees so far under the second-largest advertising agency in Japan Hakuhodo DY Group. According to its published financial statements, DAC earned more than 105.3 billion yen in 2013 (about USD 1 billion). Meanwhile, FPT Online
