FPT opens the largest IT service center in central region

Da Nang, April, 2016 - FPT officially inaugurated the Information Technology (IT) Service Centre, FPT Complex, in Đà Nẵng, providing 5.9ha office space for 3,200 IT employees in the first stage and 10,000 engineers in the second stage. It’s the biggest IT service centre in the central region with an aim of contributing USD 1 billion to FPT’s software export revenue in 2020.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh; Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Mr. Huynh Duc Tho; FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh; FPT CEO Bui Quang Ngoc and more than 80 leaders of US and Japanese Companies.

Located in Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang, FPT Complex has been constructed from 2014 to 2020. The phase 1 was completed in April 2016. The phase 2 will be started later this year.FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said that Da Nang is one of three FPT service providing centers across Vietnam, along with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In the near future, FPT Da Nang will continue to promote investment in technology development and R&D to maintain its growth and position as the largest IT company in the central region. It will continue promoting globalization, adapting with new technology trends around the world, and seizing opportunities to equally compete with large corporations to affirm Vietnam businesses’ position. In addition, FPT will also focus on smart and green infrastructure building with further investment in FPT City.

Da Nang is striving to become an industrial city by 2020, developing ICT into a key economic sector. As the leading IT company in Vietnam, in the last 12 years, FPT has help Da Nang become the science and high-tech center in central region. Started constructing on 13th of August 2014, FPT Complex is the forth campus in Vietnam and is planned as biggest one with a total area of 5.9 hectares.
