FPT Polytechnic Expands Semiconductor Footprint Through Partnerships with Leading Chinese Tech Firms

22/04/2026

As part of a working trip to Shenzhen (China’s technology hub) on April 16, 2026, representatives of FPT Polytechnic held strategic meetings with Xinde Ming Technology Company and Inovance Technology Group. The visit opens up valuable internship and employment opportunities for students in semiconductor packaging and manufacturing— a “billion-dollar” industry facing a shortage of high-quality talent.

Shenzhen has long been regarded as the “Silicon Valley of Asia,” home to some of the world’s leading technology innovations. Through this engagement, FPT Polytechnic once again affirms its global vision and its guiding philosophy of “Learning by Doing”: bringing the most advanced technologies from the world’s manufacturing centers into Vietnamese classrooms.

The working session was attended by Mr. Vũ Chí Thành, Principal of FPT Polytechnic, along with representatives from the International Cooperation Center and strategic partner ATP Vietnam Technology Company. On the Chinese side, the delegation was warmly welcomed by leaders of Xinde Ming and Mr. Wu Zhendong, Deputy General Manager for Education at Inovance Technology. Discussions focused on three core pillars: innovation in semiconductor packaging technology, specialized workforce training, and industrial synergy between the two countries.

To better understand the scale of its partners, Xinde Ming Technology Company, although established only in May 2023, has rapidly emerged as a high-tech enterprise specializing in semiconductor chip packaging equipment and key assembly systems. With ISO 9001 certification and multidisciplinary capabilities spanning mechanical engineering to automation, Xinde Ming provides solutions ranging from R&D testing to mass production for the global supply chain.

Addressing the semiconductor talent gap through a “Production – Learning – Research – Application” model

In Vietnam, the semiconductor industry faces significant pressure and challenges, with a national target of training 50,000 high-quality engineers by 2030. Recognizing this, FPT Polytechnic and Xinde Ming have reached preliminary breakthrough agreements on a collaborative training model.

Under this model, the institution will leverage its flexible vocational education system to supply talent trained according to specific technical requirements and job roles demanded by the partner. In return, Xinde Ming plans to establish internship facilities directly at its factory in Shenzhen, alongside scholarship programs that allow students to immerse themselves in real-world production environments.

This integrated “Production – Learning – Research – Application” model is expected to build a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals for the semiconductor industry in both countries.

The meeting marks an important connection between Chinese semiconductor enterprises and Vietnamese educational institutions, aiming to promote synchronized development in both technology and human resources. Strengthening this cooperation will support Xinde Ming in expanding its international market presence while simultaneously boosting technological capabilities for Vietnam’s semiconductor sector.

Looking ahead, Xinde Ming plans to further deepen partnerships with international collaborators, using technological innovation and talent development as key pillars to enhance competitiveness and contribute to the advancement of the global semiconductor industry.
