FPT provides timely support to healthcare teams fighting against Covid-19
FPT continued giving medical equipment worth VND6 billion to the health workers and the soldiers engaged in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

From April 15 to 24, FPT continued giving medical equipment including 03 high-end ventilators, nearly 19,000 protective suits, nearly 34,000 face masks, along with a series of thermometers and disinfectant sprayers worth VND6 billion to the health workers and the soldiers engaged in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
During the second, many of FPT staff wrapped and transported the equipment and gifts to the frontline fighters in some hospitals in Hanoi, HCMC and Quang Ninh and military units in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.
“Cu Chi field hospital has successfully treated 33/34 suffers and reached a critical stage in the battle against Covid-19. The equipment that FPT provided plays a role as an important source of "weapons" for the frontline fighters. It is really meaningful," Dr. Tran Chanh Xuan, Deputy Director of Cu Chi field hospital stated at the event.
Besides the health workers from medical facilities, about 20,000 soldiers are getting directly involved in the battle against Covid-19, including 10,000 border guards getting pinned down at the hot spots.
According to Major General Phung Quoc Tuan, Deputy Commissar of the Border Guard Command, the Border Guards are maintaining more than 1,600 key posts with 6,000 soldiers on duty 24/7. Not only at the border guard stations, the soldiers also have to regularly check the places more than 30 km away from them, where there is even no cell phone reception. These gifts are the timely encouragement for the border guards in the fight against Covid-19.
Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of FPT's Board of Directors, gave the medical equipment to the Border Guard High Command.
Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of FPT's Board of Directors hoped that the gifts from all of FPT employees could contribute partial support to the coronavirus disease prevention and help the frontline fighters win the battle.
Recently, FPT become the only Vietnamese enterprise to be recognized by Forbes for having the outstanding contributions to the fight against Covid-19 in Asia.
According to the release, FPT partnered with Vietnam’s Ministry of Health and launched a 24/7 Chabot that could handle 5,000 Covid-19 related inquires per day. The Company has also granted free access to its AI-powered online learning platform VioEdu, allowing local students of all levels to educate themselves during school closures. In addition, FPT donated its 2,000-room university dorm for quarantine purposes and VND 20 billion in medical equipment.
Earlier, FPT just gave the medical equipment and health care packages (VND 2 million/pack) to the health workers at the Covid-19 hotspots such as the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, the national Hospital of Tropical Diseases and Bach Mai Hospital.
In the future, FPT will complete the plan to give the medical equipment worth VND20 billion in other localities across the country.
