FPT rotates two chairpersons of its subsidiaries

Since 03^rd March 2020, Chairman of FPT Software Company Limited (FPT Software) Hoang Nam Tien will assume the position of Chairman of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom). While FPT Telecom's Chairwoman Chu Thi Thanh Ha will be appointed to the position of Chairwoman of FPT Software, also a member of FPT Telecom's Board of Directors concurrently.

This appointment is part of the “FPT Leadership development and Rotation” program that has been deployed since 2014 to prepare top executives for FPT and its subsidiaries in the coming years. Accordingly, FPT's senior leaders of all levels will be looking after various business units of the company on a rotational basis, helping them to gain diverse experiences and improve leadership capabilities and thereby shaping the future of subsidiaries.

Mrs. Chu Thi Thanh Ha, born in 1974, was appointed FPT Software Chairwoman in March 2020. Having a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, United States, she is an effective administrator with proven capabilities to build resources and team cohesion. She has made an important role to help FPT Telecom become one of the leading telecommunications and television service providers in Vietnam, providing superior services on smart infrastructure. Over the past 27 years, Mrs. Ha has held various senior management roles within FPT and its subsidiaries, including Chairwoman of FPT Telecom (2019-March 2020), Vice President of FPT Corporation (2011-2015), Chairwoman of FPT Retail (2012-2016), CEO of FPT Telecom (2009-2011). She earned a Certificate of Merit from Vietnam's Prime Minister for her contribution to the Internet industry (2012), numerous recognitions from Vietnam's Ministry of Information and Communications, Top 50 most influential Vietnamese businesswomen in 2017 (Forbes).

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - new Chairman of FPT Telecom, born in 1969, graduated from Hanoi University of Science & Technology majoring in Informatics. He is an innovative leader with a large number of ingenious ideas and management experience in various business areas. Under his guidance and heady spirit, FPT Software has achieved the steady annual growth rate of over 30% for eight consecutive years, became one of the 500 largest software companies and ranked in the Top 100 leading service providers in the world. Previously, as the Chairman of FPT Trading Group Joint Stock Company, he also had a hand in fulfilling FPT’s goal of achieving $ 1 billion in revenue by 2008. In 27 years of working at FPT, he has kept significant positions, including: Chairman of FPT Software Company Limited (from 2012 to March 2020), Member of the BOD of FPT Corporation (2004-2012), CEO of FPT Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Development Co. Ltd (2007-2012), CEO of FPT Trading Group Company Limited (2003-2008), and Vice President of the FPT branch in HCM (2002-2003). Mr. Tien was on the list of 100 Vietnamese typical intellectuals on the Economic front in 2012 and got the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Information and Communications in 2016.

In 2018, FPT rotated 3 CEOs of FPT Telecom, FPT IS, and FPT Software in the technology and telecommunications sector - two core businesses of the Corporation. In the two years 2018-2019, the technology and telecommunications sectors maintained a high profit growth rate: the technology sector increased by an average of nearly 32% per year, the telecommunications sector increased by over 21% per year.
