Some 50 listed companies were honoured at the Best Annual Report Awards during a ceremony in HCM City on July 25. The ceremony also celebrated the 10th year of the awards.

This year, FPT was awarded in three categories: Top 10 of ARAs 2017; Best content on CSR; and Top 3 among Top 10 of ARAs many years in a row.

Deputy Director of FPT HCM Nguyen Dinh Hung (second from left) received the award.

FPT is one of several companies that have earned bonus points for preparing their reports under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and for providing an English version.

According to VIR's editor-in-chief Le Trong Minh, the ARAs have had a major impact on Vietnam's reporting standards in the past decade. Besides financial results, annual reports include details on risk management, investor relations, sustainability reporting, and corporate governance to give further information to investors.

This year, 75% of the firms scored 50 points or more in the qualifying round. Out of the 638 eligible reports submitted by firms listed on HOSE and HNX, 125 ones were selected into the final round. The judges picked 50 reports to honour at the ceremony, divided into the Top 10, the Top 30, and the Top 50.

ARA has been co-organised by HOSE and VIR since 2008. FPT has been ranked among Top 10 of ARAs for 10 years in a row.
