Within the framework of Vietnamese-German Business Forum, in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, FPT signed two memoranda of understanding with Siemens and BPCE International on July 6th.
Specifically, FPT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Siemens for the exploitation of MindSphere (the cloud-based, open IoT operating system). For the exploitation of MindSphere, the two companies pledged to jointly train 1,000 Vietnamese employees in MindSphere; providing digital transformation services based on the MindSphere platform for all areas in the Asia-Pacific and Europe.
In addition, FPT and Siemens will work together to develop the entire MindSphere platform. Specifically, FPT will be a partner of Siemens in app consulting & development, system integration, technology development and equipment connection.
For the MoU between FPT and BPCE International, the two sides will jointly develop solutions related to digital banking.
Earlier, on the sidelines of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s meeting with nearly 30 top German businesses, many businesses namely Siemens, BMW, Deutsche Bank, Talanx, Schaeffler, Airbus Defense & Space, Philips Lighting, BPCE Bank International have expressed their interest in cooperation with FPT in the fields of electrification, IT, software outsourcing etc.

In Europe, FPT has offices in Germany, France and Slovakia with nearly 300 FPT employees. FPT aims at a growth of 28% in Europe by 2017, equivalent to over USD35 million. In 2016, the European market accounted for around 11% of FPT’s total overseas sales, or about VND 670 billion.
