FPT Software develops IT human resources in Quang Nam

On June 12^th, FPT Software opened a new branch in Tam Ky, and signed an important training cooperation agreement with with Quang Nam University.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Standing Vice Chairman in charge of operating Tam Ky City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - FPT CEO; Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - FPT Software CEO and its partners and employees here.

The establishment of new branch is considered an important step in forming FPT's education campus and software park complex nationwide, as well as realizing the double HR plan in digital processing services, making Quang Nam one of the large-scale software service centers, offering many career opportunities and opening new directions for local economic development.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee, Quang Nam in general and Tam Ky city in particular always determine that attracting investment from large corporations like FPT is an important activity for economic development. "We believe that FPT will take the first steps and share many values to help Tam Ky and Quang Nam develop quickly in the field of information technology," said he.

At the event, FPT Software and Quang Nam University also signed a memorandum of understanding on vocational guidance and IT training. Accordingly, the two sides create favorable conditions for students to participate in training activities, vocational guidance, technology sharing, internships and working at FPT Software.

Lecturers and employees participate in technology exchange and research via workshops and projects. This method helps integrate new technologies being developed by FPT Software into the curriculum of Quang Nam University, in order to enhance the practicality and richness of training activities.

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa stated that this new branch is part of the plan to make Tam Ky become one of 6 major education campus and software park complexes nationwide.

FPT Software Tam Ky currently has about 100 employees and expects to reach 200 people by the end of this year. The branch operates in the field of digital processing, data standardization, software operation and maintenance services/products; system consulting and administration; IT services etc. for its partners in Japan.
